You really think we’ll shell out £30 million for a full back in his thirties? No.

Athletico will likely let him out on loan towards the windows end imo.

They'll be tons of players out on loan from the top european sides who all seem financially in trouble think thats where most of our business will come from.

No, they want money for Trippier, also you need to remember we are now under Brexit and there was an article the other day stating that any further foreign transfers will have to be done in the next week or so. The days of deadline day transfers coming in from abroad are gone now due to the amount of paperwork need for a player, the last week of the window will mostly be domestic stuff.

Surely clubs will still be able to strike deals subject to the completion of said paperwork? It would just mean the arrival of the player will be delayed. A lot of the current transfer deals are subject to requirements that have not yet been met and only may occur in the future. The agreements detailed on the 'deal sheets' later on in the transfer window are only completed after the transfer deadline.

FFP rules changing next month according to this: https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spo...news/uefa-financial-fair-play-salary-21301085

No idea on the premier league though.

Have to say, it looks like the same nonsense as we have now under a different guise.

And @Neiler The key thing there is this though:

"Any club in breach of those rules will have to pay a luxury tax where 'the equivalent or more' of any overspend would go into a pot to be shared among other clubs."

So basically if you pay above the salary rate its more a financial punishment than a sporting one like bans/points deductions.

Marvelous just hope the PL follows suit.

LONG LIVE USMANOV!
