Do you remember when a player would meet Kendall on the motorway services, sign, and it was in the echo the same night. Maybe it was all so simple then.....

Kendall poured Southall a whisky in his office after he'd signed.

Southall: I don't drink.
Kendall: You do now.

Can't imagine that when James signed.

Morning all, and with the end of the week approaching and the transfer window in full tilt there are a barrage of classic rumours for you this morning! The next few weeks look sure to be packed full of emotion and lies…….

An update has emerged on RC Lens fullback Jonathan Clauss, regarding Everton’s interest in his services. According to French outlet HommeDuMatch, Everton and West Ham have both made enquiries over a potential deal this month.
The report claims that the Ligue 1 club, however, is not interested in parting ways with the defender at this moment in time.

Newcastle have placed a £10m price tag on English midfielder Sean Longstaff. The 23-year-old's contract at St James' Park expires next summer and Everton boss Rafael Benitez is said to be interested in taking him to Goodison Park. (Mail)

Everton could sign Schalke forward Matthew Hoppe for less than the £7m valuation placed on the American because of the German club's financial situation. The Toffees are one of several teams interested in the 20-year-old and a bid of £4m would still be viewed as good business. (Bild)

Everton will try to sell James Rodriguez before making a move to sign Lazio ace Joaquin Correa according to a report from Corriere dello Sport who recently claimed that Toffees boss Rafael Benitez wants to bring the 27-year-old forward to Goodison Park this summer.

Solo La Lazio claims that Lazio are demanding around £30 million for the Argentina international

Spurs and Leeds United target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is an “outstanding” talent and could be “impossible” for Rubin Kazan to replace, former USSR international Vladimir Pilguy has told MKRU.

Speaking to Sportall last week, Kvaratskhelia’s representative insisted “almost every team in the Premier League” had shown an interest in the Georgia international, name-dropping Everton, Brighton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur.

Everton are reportedly 'monitoring' Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan.
The Turkey international is also a target for fellow Premier League side Watford, who have already held talks over a potential deal.
Everton and Leeds United are both said to be interested but no formal approach has been made yet, according to The Athletic.
Fenerbahce president Ali Koc has previously said that he wouldn’t sell Tufan for anything less than £18m.

Cenk Tosun , as expected, will not be fit enough to be moved on in this transfer window. The 30-year-old is recovering from a knee operation, having ruptured his patella tendon when on loan with Besiktas, and is not expected to return to training for between six and eight weeks. (Echo)

Barcelona want £13m million for reported Liverpool, Arsenal and Wolves target Ilaix Moriba, with Sport claiming the contract-rebel midfielder will be frozen out if he isn’t sold this month. According to 90Min, Moriba’s representatives have held talks with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, as well as West Ham, Leicester City, Wolves and Everton.

Everton are interested in signing Belgium winger Dries Mertens this summer. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t GetFootballNewsItaly), the Toffees are interested in signing Mertens who has recently returned to full training at Napoli.

An update has emerged on Everton target Kurt Zouma, regarding interest from two other Premier League sides. According to Sky Sports, Tottenham and West Ham are both interested in signing the Toffees transfer target from Chelsea this month. He is said to be the Hammers’ priority target as David Moyes looks to bolster his squad.
The French centre-back, who has been linked (90min.com) with a move to Everton this summer, is said to be available for a fee in the region of £25m.
