Everton Summer transfers 2021

Don't see Richarlison playing much on the right. He's capable but definitely far from his best position.

I just don't see us spending the 60 odd million needed to sign both of those. I'll be surprised if we spend anything substantial nevermind signing 2 more wide forwards.

He's good enough to play anywhere and dont forget FFP is changing next season to salary cap so it likely won't matter what our losses are next season providing the wage bill is in order should the PL change the profit and loss system to mimic UEFA.

Basically make sure you dont go over the 3 year rolling £105 million loss this summer and any deals will be done over lengths of contract etc in terms of the seasons to come.

People keep saying this and I am sure that Tyrer is injured but how bad is this injury, I can't find any info on it other than a bland statement that he is injured. Unless he is injured for 2 months or more, I'm sure we could have managed.

I think with Covid it’s entirely plausible that Pickford and Begovic could have to isolate at some point (presumably being close contacts), so makes sense to have some kind of experienced cover.

….whilst creating chances is important, we genuinely need goal threat from wide areas especially if the team is set up with defensive CMs. If we are paying £30k for a winger, he needs to contribute goals (no idea if that applies to McNeil).

That could come with coaching though mate - the lads only 21 who's to say he couldn't develop and add goals to his game?

I don't get why we are faffing around with a player like Correra. Isn't really what we need and likely won't want to come anyway.

The issue with signing players 27-30 when you are a club like Everton, is that the player either is already stepping down from a better club or has one last chance to move to a CL team. They are very unlikely to choose us. The only way they do is if we (a) have the appeal of a good manager, like we did with Ancelotti, but don't any more, or (b) if we offer them a proper wedge to move here.

Either way is bad business. If we sign a player like Correra for big money and on big wages, we are stuck with another decreasing asset on wages that are then prohibitive to moving them on. Unless we can somehow convince a world-beater in that age to sign, we should generally sign younger.
