Are you thinking of the right player? Everyone was using him as the excuse as to why Graham Potter couldn’t finish higher than 16th a few weeks back. Scores 8 a season.

Scored for fun for Brentford in the Championship.

Brighton paid a lot for him. Double figure league goals first season, 8 last season, 2 in 2 already this season.

He's 25.
Has pace.
Can play upfront, behind the striker or on the wings.
Established in the prem, doing pretty well in a Brighton side.
Has a bit of tenacity/nark to his game.

For the right fee - all day long.

I can think of 20 plus strikers in the Premier League to sign before Maupay....... Like a poster said earlier he was one of the biggest reasons Brighton had the worst conversion rate in the PL, he isnt suddenly now world beater because he has scored 1 against Burnley and 1 against Watford!!!!

Jarg hopefully, the club should be looking at better players on the continent for less money than Maupay.

If a salary cap is introduced we could be in an even worse situation than under FFP depending upon which system they go for. I saw a report last year showing we had the highest wages to turnover ratio in the Premier League and also the largest losses. I think we will be screwed whichever system is introduced.
5 options for us next sumner.

The new rules help us, unlikely knowing how the prem like to keep their favourites happy

We qualify for the champions league, unlikely.

Moshiri & usmanov come up with some clever refinancing.

We mange to raise a 100mil from selling certain players, Mina/Keane/holgate. Digne, Davies, Gomes, iwobi

Or we have to sell Richarlison or DCL and hopefully reinvest wisely

Sky sports rumours with the turds dharmesh and the other smug bell that I can’t even remember his name are just awful, might as well listen to randoms off Twitter
You’re not wrong....they are like one of those crap double acts that dominated TV in the ’80s. Do my head in(n)

By double figures you mean 10? And are you sure he can play multiple positions? So much of this post confuses me, I’ll be honest. Everyone was pointing to Brighton’s xG and saying if they had a half decent striker they’d be in the top 6 not long back. Doesn’t sound like a player that’s “doing well” really considering he was their only out and out striker and played basically every game.
