We are really going to fall behind with West Ham strengthening like this and us persisting with the absolutely cack Keane and Holgate. Error prone donkeys that should have been shown the door years ago.
They're actually fairly well run off the park and afaik dont have players on massive massive wages like some of ours.

They've a decent chance to repeat last season / push on. They've a very saleable asset in Rice as well as he chose to play for England rather than us.

What’s the right fee mate?

Under £20m. About the fee Brighton paid.

Can't see them agreeing to that sale though.

Loads of players we're linked with/sign I've never seen kick a ball. I watched him a few times at Brentford;

... and thought Brighton signed a very good player.

Nothing since has changed my mind, he's record - at Brighton- has been good in the Prem.

Needs the next step up now.

If he plays against us, he'll cause problems. He has a tenacity, almost street football to his game that fans would like.

Scored for fun for Brentford in the Championship.

Brighton paid a lot for him. Double figure league goals first season, 8 last season, 2 in 2 already this season.

He's 25.
Has pace.
Can play upfront, behind the striker or on the wings.
Established in the prem, doing pretty well in a Brighton side.
Has a bit of tenacity/nark to his game.

For the right fee - all day long.

I like him. But he'd cost £30m+ this summer.

Next year he'll have 12 months left on his contract and we'd then get a better deal for him, which I suspect is what we'll probably do.

287 apps with 87 goals in his career 67 in farmers leagues or championship.
20 goals in PL over 3 years

Thats absolutely not what we need especially if we need to handover any sort of money never mind 30mil as rumoured.

Neil Maupay!! Jeez thats bottom of the barrel stuff.
I wouldn't have him here if it was for free.
I Said the same thing about Gray TBF... I still might be right, but early indications are I'm wrong.

After that I'm not ismissing anyone. though I think for the money they'd want it's not a great idea.

Watched Maupay since he was a teenager on loan at Brest, and he's a 7/10 guy who'll get you around 10 goals a season. Yes, he's industrious, tenacious and decent enough technically, but for anything greater than a 12-15m outlay on him would be a mistake imo.

By double figures you mean 10?

Playing you at his own game for "Scores 8 a season."

And are you sure he can play multiple positions?

Yes;

"can play out wide or as a number 10, but my favoured position is striker. I like to play down the middle and use my pace to get in behind defences"

So much of this post confuses me, I’ll be honest. Everyone was pointing to Brighton’s xG and saying if they had a half decent striker they’d be in the top 6 not long back.

Not arsed about xG me.

Doesn’t sound like a player that’s “doing well” really considering he was their only out and out striker and played basically every game.

41 goals in 2 seasons in the Championship for Brentford. Most of them - 25 coming in his second season after finding his feet in English football. Brighton paid a few quid for him and;

10 Premier League goals in 37 in his debut season. At 22/23.
8 Premier League goals in 33 in his second season At 23/24
2 Premier League goals in 2 in his third season. At 25.

That's pretty decent.

Stats aside, in my own opinion the lad is a good player. He's a little nit, a handful - he'd create space for others.

I hope he misses the game against us, apparently he's a doubt.
