Mark Noble is a bang average footballer, but he's loved at WHU because he gives a toss. I think that's why myself and others wanted Bernard to succeed so much. I dont think it was ever a lack of effort or care, just obviously the physicality.

Its a very good point, i often think over the last 3/4 seasons there has been a disconnect between the players and fans. Fans cant identify with the majority of our players, their fight, will and passion - its lacking. I'm thinking of critical games in the last two seasons with a chance of Europe the majority of the team just rolled over in. Or capitulating in games we should see out. Out fought in a lot of games - which is criminal.

I think we really lack in the qualities you raise and fans, players and club cant identify with each other and a disconnect has been created.

Whatever about the criticism of Moyes, his players and their limits, baseline you could always guarantee the fight and care.
