Not sure about that, I mean we finished 18 points above them last season.

Add those 18 points to our tally and we finish 2nd.

That's some difference.

Fans turn their nose up at certain players because of their current situation/who they play for. It was like with Demarai Gray.
Oh yeah I definitely agree on that, some people never learn.
Pretty sure most fans would have turned their noses up at Cahill, Gueye etc to name but 2.

Still not having we are much better than Brighton though. Points wise last season backs your comment up, but having seen both sides play, quality wise very little in it.

But It's like saying if Everton had a 20 goal season wide player we would have finished top 6.

If Brighton finish 16th its down to the manager/squad as a collective - not solely down to Maupay.

I’m just parroting what was said on here mate. Everyone pointed to chances created stats and expected goals stats, and the conclusion was that the only thing missing from their game was the ability to score their chances, ergo they need a decent striker.

And then coached any defensive ability out of the side.

Cant solely blame Brightons forwards on Potter having them finish consistently bottom half imo.
I didn't...

Brighton finish bottom half because they are Brighton. Same as why Wigan got relegated. Brighton will at some point soon too no doubt. Clubs tend to settle at their "level" eventually.

Yes mate every Potter fan said this. ^^^^

Largely the xG crew who think Potterball is the next Pep.

If we are not signing Messi or Ronaldo then there will always be nose turners.

Actually, Messi and Ronaldo are too old and will be on massive wagers; also no sell-on value.
