Everton Summer transfers 2021

So if current stories all stack up, regarding the players we all thought might leave or should leave.

Kean to Juve - loan (joke)
Gomes to Benfica

Rodriguez- no clear links anywhere
Delph - still here
Kenny - still here
Tosun - no chance of him leaving this window
Gylfi - hmmm

Iwobi - looks like Benitez is keeping him
Davies - probably kept as a squad player.

the real worry now is the stories about Richarlison and PSG

Crazy summer at Goodison, I’m expecting a busy last few days and a few ins and outs, things appear to be moving a bit.
Crazy all over really, don’t think at the start of the summer anyone expected Messi at PSG, Lukaku back at Chelsea and potentially CR7 at City while at the same time expecting Kane to join City only to have a u turn and stay at Spurs

Given how boring the last few Deadline Day’s have been, it could be quite the spectacle this time on Tuesday

Apologies if this has been covered (but too many pages have been added since I was on). How does this potential Kean deal affect us?

Obviously a loan doesn't seem much use financially, but if it's with an obligation to buy by the end of our accounting year, does that count for PL P&S rules? Also, does it matter if we make a loss on him? I would have thought that it does and the agreed fees seem less than we paid for him.

Loan with obligation to buy for Kean isn't a joke, tbf. The obligation to buy would almost certainly be before the end of Everton's accounting year and we'd get a loan fee. So it would help us.

No one on GOT actually knows as we don’t know our financial state.

Tbf still think deadline day will mostly be busy but with lesser lights (frankly reckon we'll be one of the busiest clubs as always even though Brands apparently has never wanted to do that). James would probably be the biggest name to move on that day (sad face).

Mbappe, if it goes through, will be the weekend/Monday I think. Same with Ronaldo.

We know it's not good because we can read things written by people who do know more than us though.

Also, we've spent a combined £1.7m to back our new manager and are wanting our highest earner off the books. It's not exactly a big leap to make is it.

Go back and read the last 3 or 4 pages!

I don't think there's much speculation about him not wanting to be here. If we wanted him, we'd keep him and play him. I don't think there's too much debate about the fact that there's a big financial hole in the game currently? We aren't the only team struggling but we are admittedly worse off than most.

No idea what the loan fee will be, but we lose his wages this season and we'll book about a £15m accounting profit next summer. This is the sort of thing we need to be doing. In real terms we will get our money back.

I think there is, Vlasic, Lookman now Kean, fans are being managed, players painted as trouble, not happy don’t want to be here in the media and we lap it up - there is a trend here 1. Lads get frustrated with a lack of development, 2 We don’t develop them, 3. Fans turn on them, we sell them and continue to post massive losses. We’re building nothing. We have no strategy, we’re developing nothing, we’re signing stiffs like Townsend. There is a trend to all of the above. There is only so many times you can blame the player. The other common dominator is the club and those involved in the footballing dept and development.

Our adverse financial position isn’t due to Covid, if there was no Covid we wouldn’t be brewstered we are were we are because of a series of bad decisions like this Kean deal. If you think it’s down to Covid you are fooling yourself.

Keans book price was 28 mill, he’s currently at 16.5. Compared to our losses and his wages vs the cost and wages of a replacement, say Maupay at a very kind 20 mill and wages of 4.5 annually (what Iwobi is on), then it’s still adverse financially and adds to our losses.

Stupid.

25mil is a proper soft fee, hoping for more. Be glad to see rid of this dosser, he just never got motivated to play for the club.

Id presume it’s more to do with his fitness than his attitude, his attitude can’t be that bad given Bayern wanted to make his loan deal permanent with them.

If the fee is substantial and more importantly guaranteed, then its ok. Not ideal, but more than ok as far as I'm concerned
