Ever since ancelotti left james has wanted out. The fact that he came out and said he was only here because of ancelotti shows he doesn't care at all about this club. The fact he couldn't be bothered to come to goodison for our last home game just to do the lap of honor for the fans proved that to me.

I think hes an exceptional player but ill be honest I think his attitude stinks and the Colombian press seems to think the same. As well as the Colombian national team seem to be freezing him out of the squad as well. Something is going on with that lad and I dont believe its benitez.

He also said he wants to see out his contract with us. Seems to me you are selective in what you read.

At the same time he has been treated poorly by the club IMO. As soon as Benitez arrived James and the whole world were advised he wasn't wanted here. He was then excluded from training with the squad and even had his squad number from last season given to a youth player FFS.

But hey, he didn't know who we were playing when he hadn't been near the place for almost 2 weeks and it's OMG how can he disrespect the club like that. We'll respect works both ways.

Summer training squad numbers are not reflecting anything. Youth players can take a number and play in a friendly. Means nothing.

If by that you mean tossing a decent corner or free kick onto someone’s head, yes. Honestly, at no point in his spell with the club has he done anything that I have thought is a skill unique to him. He doesn’t stand out as a player in any way, he’s absolutely terrible.

I do think your hate is clouding your judgment slightly, but I'm not arguing with you. Better that hate is directed at this guy than some of our other players.

He scored quite a lot of goals from distance for someone with a shot like a 7 year old. His goal against Larissa is one of my favourite goals.

It didn't seem to of hamstrung them though since Ronaldo has come in the 3 transfer windows before this one they've spent €626m. In fact that's their biggest spending period over 3 years ever.

If anythings knacked them it'll be giving players like Aaron Ramsey a £450k a week contract for him to sit in the treatment room.

It seems to me they went big starting off with the summer they signed Ronaldo and now the chickens have come home to roost and their in the toilet financially because of it.

Personally I never think that the lad who's scoring over 100 goals in 3 years is the problem at a club and if you scratch the surface you'll see why.

IF? Rondon gets anywhere near this club it will be for a year, maybe with an option for another on about 40k

I've been consistent on this. If James goes, we need to replace his creativity and goals. 14 direct goal contributions all told, and one of the best players in the league (even over only 24 games) when it came to creativity (believe it's called 'expected threat', but that's too much detail I suppose).

I know why he needs to leave. I'm annoyed because the reason we can't afford James isn't because of James. It's because we have the likes of Delph and Gomes soaking up north of £200k in weekly wages.

Diaz had more league goals/assists in less minutes than James. I dont think thats the best comparison.

The question would be why Diaz had almost an equal amount of sub appearances as starts.


As for James "being paid to play elsewhere", it may be that Porto have a strict wage structure or have clauses in some players agreements which would be triggered by someone joining on a higher wage. Alternatively it could also help Porto balance their FFP accounting.

We may simply need to pay James off and the total payment would be reduced from the transfer fee.

Zat I completely agree with you. He has looked decent at RB.
However , as I understand it , he has said he wants to play CM.
If he played RB I'm sure Arsenal would use him there , better than Soares , Holding or Bellerin.

I believe i read a month or two ago a snippet somewhere that the penny has dropped and he would now be open to playing right back.

Not sure where but im sure i read it somewhere...could have just been a journalists nonsense of course.

I do also remember Wenger highlighting AMN defensive abilities and Keown calling him a "Rolls Royce" of a right back due to his speed, positioning and marking along with his ability to drive forward.

Hopefully, he is keen to play right back now and sees that as a permanent position. If so, he walks into our first 11.

No he is not, Kenny isn’t good enough for the farmers league in Scotland

Niles on a year loan can cover three positions, another addition to improve our options

Well actually it was Simms who, as you may or may not know, is injured and hasn't played.

It was a promotional shoot and he was wearing the number 18 shirt.
