We won’t be completely out of the woods for sure, but the current year 1 of our 3 year consideration regarding cumulative losses will cycle off and be replaced by this year’s figures. As long as this year is a LOT lower (or dare I suggest even a profit) that’ll give us back a bit of wiggle room. Add to that, the fact that we’ll have another lot of dead wood out of contract and things will be rosier than now.Still have the same problem next summer although the wage bill will be lower, I think Richy will be sold in the summer to free up our finances but we won’t be spend a lot next summer either
I heard he was on fireWill Grigg?
Well he’s faster than the Icelandic one Gomes James etc so like I said the players we had last year yes. Correct me if I’m wrong because it wasn’t my comment but I think the person you were replying to was talking about the quality of the squad not the size of it so if the squad was the same size but better quality overall they would be happier and I would agree. Before one of the happy clappers comes along to tell me I KNOW that we can’t just buy a new squad and I’m not saying we should I’m just giving my opinion on the squad we have!I really hope that isn't implying that Townsend is fast.
We've got a solid 18 to 20 player squad and we are not in Europe. Injuries don't have to derail our season. It isn't impossible but we just don't need a 25 person squad right now.
Watching SSN today it could be a repeat of the last few years. Same subjectsI love how important all of these weapons SSN roll out for deadline day think they are.
Kenny, Delph, Davies, Gomes, Tosun
Couldn't even give one of them away. Brands, hang your head in shame!
That's about 200 thousands a week down the drain.
Because I don't expect us to be in that mix. So a couple injuries dropping us from 9th to 11th I wouldn't call a derailing. How so?
I'm expecting us to be in the mix for European qualification again because that's where we need to be. But that could be anywhere from 7th to 12th. We also need to go all out for a cup, because it'll have been 27 years which is mental.
We have a 32 (soon to be 33) yr-old RB who can't stay fit for the season, and an inadequate back-up. We've needed the role filling for 3 years at least. Now we're scrambling around and will likely - if it's going to be anyone - end up paying over the odds for Maitland-Niles.
We don't really have any creativity in reserve when it comes to midfielders so that's a worry (i'm counting Iwobi as a regular starter here) if James goes. if there's an injury to a winger and a striker at the same time then we're in bother too.
As it stands, short up front but we always are and I think Rondon will come in.
Sawyer and Abdo too, whilst they're at itYes to Kirsty

Injured again lolScrub Delph, Rafael the Gaffer has been talking him up this week and been impressed with him in training...
Everton boss Rafael Benitez admits Fabian Delph has won him over.
The manager has claimed that he was initially ready to talk to Delph regarding his future at the club, but his performances in training convinced him otherwise.
Benitez admitted: "To be fair I don't know how long [Delph will be out for].
"But what I can tell you is he's desperate to come back, he was training really well.
"He was one of the players that we were thinking about his future, but the way that he was training - we were happy.
"It was a big problem for us in the end because he could be an option. I don't say that he could play too many games, but the way that he was training and his experience made him an option.
"Now we have to wait, I don't know how long, but it's two or three weeks minimum. We have the international break, so that is good."
