We've struggled in the centre since Moyes left, after Martinez first season of Lukaku, McCarthy too, Gareth Barry, we haven't really replaced the unit. We have replaced individuals and then been hit with bad injuries but what I am getting at is the centre of the park seems to be an ongoing issue and for me is the reason we aren't making much progress.

I mean we are fairly solid(a better midfield helps immeasurably) and given chances we can score, a better midfield will help chance creation. It really needs sorting out once and for all so it's settled for a year or three.

It does Need sorting. Gbamin returning may play an important part.
With him and Delph missing, we’ve had no depth to rotate or cover injuries. We lose a player and we’re town to bear bones. If they had been available, we would have had more options to set up differently.

Yeah although when signing players like Delph and James with big injury records, you would think they would have thought on about cover for those as it's guaranteed that they will be injured at some point. Obviously JPG was a freak injuries twice on the bounce. Better planning is needed in my opinion.

Delph has been way beyond what was expected injury wise. Gbamin was just something we could not anticipate. James is about what was expected.
Numbers wise were ok, we just haven’t been able to use them because of injury.

We need another top class midfielder this summer. We can’t have Davies & Gomes, maybe even delph playing regular, due to injuries and expect to challenge the top 4.

I’d like to see us go out and get a midfielder, that is basically first choice. And the rest fit around him

Nah, i don't think they will go for Haaland tbh, he actually does'nt really fit the way they play. City move it about so much and Haaland seems to be best when he is running on to things. Also Pep seems to really have a thing about playing with no striker.

I highly respect your opinion. Nevertheless, I do think that Koulibaly would represent a massive signing considering that he’s on the top 3 defenders right now. About the RB? I think we don’t need to sign anyone on that position TBH.
