the Wamangituka injury is a bit of a concern but if Grealish is not feasible then we should try and sign this fella and buendia in the summer
Ancelotti isn't really going to help get a striker who won't play tho. Either we improve from DCL and move him to backup or we have to be "ok" with players like that. Look at how difficult it is for Spurs to get a backup for Kane and, until Mourinho, were in an infinitely better position
Buendia is likely to cost £40m+ and considering we're also looking at Aarons from Norwich for £30m or so that represents a huge outlay on players who've played the majority of their career outside of the top divisions.
If we're going with Allan and Doucoure in the midfield we need to couple him with a really creative midfielder who can add goals. Since Fellaini left we haven't had a centre mid who contributed goals regularly and we're missing that to take the pressure of the forwards.

Spurs really haven't ever had a problem attracting players to be behind Kane, They haven't always worked out brilliantly, but they've managed to get players who were sought after at the time. Look at Vinicius now, with 10 goals in all competitions. A player like that is absolutely fine. I've also said before, DCL is very good, but i'm not sure he's so good that another striker wouldn't get a look in. He has 3 goals in his last 15 games, a decent striker would be fancying their chances of coming into the side during a run like that.

That’s why I wouldn’t go for an out an out striker. Someone who’s a similar level to Richarlison who can play wide and threw the middle. Add in a quality winger then that wouid be 5 including James very good players for 3 positions.

I’d be wary of any player who wouldn’t look out of place in our squad...
Honestly, though, I’d be all over him. Probably won’t happen now they’re coming up again. I was up for us going in for him last summer. Just give me Marcel’s job and have done with it.
