Aarons probably, Buendia I'm not as sure. As I've tried to say many times, his creativity and passing last year were really good in the PL, it is going to be difficult to find a player who can top that. James can for example but he's obviously going to struggle to play even 25 times in the league.

There probably isn't one out there that won't carry a similar type of risk. There just aren't many players that reach his level with a combination of forward passing and creativity, and I'm talking from 2019/20 when he was in the PL. Most of the names are guys we can't be signing. There are some we maybe could and of those Berardi would be my choice but that also carries the Italy to the PL risk.

We have Godfrey and will sign a right back in the summer. That means it comes down to who is the better player. For me, it's mina. I don't think holgate has kicked on and I think we'd get a decent fee for him because he's young and English.

We need to move away from the mentality of having loads of versatile players to cover a lack of quality squad depth.

English clubs will be one of the very few with money to spend this summer
Holgate would attract at least 20m

Where's the 40m coming from as well?

They've just sold us one of their best players, English as well for half the price

Norwich signed him for £1.5m then have had to let him develop.

Athletico and Sevilla are both interested in him but I’m sure Norwich will want a kings ransom.

He is a great player and acclimatised to UK football. I’m sure he would do well, lm just not sure anyone will pay the fee Norwich would want. I think he will end up staying with them TBH.

There clearly will be though won't there. I mean we're not talking about Messi here. There 100% will be numerous players across the world who are as good as a bloke who is shining in the Championship, and who won't cost £40m. The key, as always, is identifying them.

Why? Someone’s just said he cost them £1.5m. Is there a risk involved in that?
