......never understand the vitriol Jesse Lingard gets on here. Fine player, willing to get ahead of the striker. He’s only on loan from United.

You would not find me saying this ever before, but in the last 9 league games, he's been unplayable.

Easily the best AM in the league over that relatively small sample of games.

Only has a year left on his contract at UTD too.

Think he has done something that most exUtd players have done amd that is to play well.
Most utd rejects just sulk and fade away i. e. Cleverly.
The injection of pace from bringing in Lingard and Aarons would be massive for us.

....not convinced despite what he did today. Pace & muscle (a bit like Traore at Wolves) but inconsistent. He’s a flash player & I’m not overly keen on that type.
Pace, muscle and being flash are sadly lacking in our team tbh.

He’s everything we’re missing in that area, commits defenders provides a direct threat,I’d love him or a player like that here
I haven’t seen him much, but he looks pacy as anything and a box of tricks. 20 mill last season was it? Thing is, cashley will want 40 and much as I like him wouldn’t do it, need to get these guys cheaper.

...which is EXACTLY why he's suddenly putting some effort in.

He's been the textbook example of a lazy, entitled git for several years now at Utd. All of a sudden he slips down the pecking order, gets shipped out on loan and FINALLY starts listening to his agent. He's playing for his next deal, and the minute he gets it he will revert to type. What we're seeing right now is the absolute peak of Lingard's career and the decline will start the absolute second he signs a new deal with another club. Massive, massive swerve.
