Everton Summer transfers 2021

He’s not a 20 goal a
Season striker, well in the premier league he isn’t. And that’s how I will judge him.

Im sure he hasn’t got assist either , so that’s something maybe another forward may offer.

I don’t think it’s as black & white. As the people saying they would sell for 80mil are saying they don’t rate him.

Did I want us to sell Rooney, of course not. DCL is different as he still is a long way from that level, my personal opinion is he will never get There.

Leicester got 80 for maguire. Bought Forfna & Soyuncu and now are arguably better off and have 25mil to spend elsewhere.

In an ideal world we go and get a 50mil pound striker to put pressure on him and replace him
when he has a poor few games. At this moment him and Richarlison are starting no matter what. I doubt that changes until we become a champions league team.

Say he finishes on 16 prem goals. And we sell him and kean for 120mil and we buy Koulibaly, bissouma and a striker who only scores 11 goals but gets 9 assists. Would we be a better all round team next season?
Regardless selling him isn't strengthening us is it? I think he is still developing and has made huge strides in the last two seasons. Plus we have other players we could sell before Dom. I would sell Richy before Dom, but he hasn't had a good season so his fee won't be at its height.

The problem is if we stick with DCL next season. Or even 2 more seasons. He would be ancelotti’s number 9 fir the first 3.5 yrs of his 4.5 year contract.

Now a lot of fans think that having a number 9 that scores 15 tap ins. Gets no assists and doesn’t contribute much else is fine. But is it fine fir Moshiri & ancelotti who’s getting paid 11mil a year.

I see us, as a bit of of a crossroads team at the minute. If DCL had been at Brighton or Bournemouth, he would have been sold now. If he was at Chelsea, Utd or city. He would be a squad player, probably been out on loan and would also maybe have been sold on by now.

If ancelotti went to Moshiri abs said he thinks DCL & Richarlison arent quite at the level we need every week at the minute. I we need another forward. Maybe who’s more ruthless abs makes better decisions around the box and we go abs spend 50/60 mil and DCL is on the bench next season . What do you think he will do next summer? A transfer request, because he thinks he should be our number 9 full stop. We’ve made a rod for our own back, by being this halfway house team.

Look at Chelsea last season, with a transfer ban they gave Abraham a chance abs he did quite well. I’m sure he got something like 13 goals by Christmas. But as soon as his from dropped a little bit, he was out the team. Then in the summer they spend 60mil on Werner. Abraham hasn’t had a sniff since. I know Werner hadn’t had the greatest first season, but the point is Chelsea knew Abraham wasn’t the answer.

Now I know everyone will say Chelsea are a different level to us abs that’s fine. But why is Moshiri spending big money abs bringing in the likes of ancelotti.

I think DCL won’t be sold, but if Utd did offer 80mil I would sell 100%

What the hell is 'corona virus'?

You consider James a forward so at least you're consistent even if it is wrong
I consider them both attacking players, thus they are forwards for me.

Yes, they both drop deep and they arent Strikers.

Forwards are the players on an association football team who play nearest to the opposing team's goal, and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals.
Their advanced position and limited defensive responsibilities mean forwards normally score more goals on behalf of their team than other players.

People hear the word forward and think I'm calling them number 9s.

There's also this though:

An 'attacking midfielder' is a midfield player who is positioned in an advanced midfield position, usually between central midfield and the team's forwards, and who has a primarily offensive role.

Sue me on the offensive stuff, copied it from Wiki.

Well he's a midfielder isn't he.

Doesnt take a genius to work that out.

Be like me claiming KDB was a forward.

Depends where people play really.

4-3-3, the 3 up top are forwards. 4-4-2, the 2 wide players are midfielders.

Its a grey area, but yes, Penaldes is a midfielder, an offensive 1, but a midfielder all the same.

Im sure you told me that Iceberg wasn't a midfielder once tho.
