Agreed. But that is his choice unless Palace choose to sell. I was only posting to illustrate that he wasn’t being held to ransom as one poster intimated.
No disrespect to Palace, but Zaha has wasted his career. I believe he could have been at a Champions League club for most of his career, but his mentality hasn't been tough enough, and he's settled for big wages and an easy life.

See there's zaha links again, us and spurs £40m ..
Why would they sell him for £40m? Relegation would cost them £100m at least and they have a number of players out of contract. They won't sell him for less than £65m minimum. If they're lucky Spurs might spunk a lot of their Harry Kane money on him.

The first think to do is build a strong team, we have tried young talented managers , they didn't work.
Let CA build his team, when we are established as a top side again (hopefully) attracting top managers is easier.

None of the big clubs like Liverpool ,City, Utd or Chelsea will take a flier on an untried manager.
I totally agree but building Carlo's team is not a bunch of kids with potential which is what I was commenting on.

Untried managers; firstly, it hasn't served Barca too badly, secondly, we haven't been a big club in more than 30 years and thirdly, OGS was hardly tried and tested. He was a loan signing

He would have left earlier if Palace were willing to sell at a price clubs were prepared to pay. He is a complex character and wears his heart on his sleeve. His in game moaning frustrates everyone and is one reason that no one has met the clubs valuation. I’m not sure scrapping away with the whole clubs expectation on you week in week out, season in, season out is settling for the easy life.

It's still less expectation than he had at Utd.

No, I disagree. United, small fish, big pool and just another promising youngster given a chance.
At Palace, he is, more or less Palace. You would be surprised at the amount of abuse he gets when not playing well.

Adam Armstrong from Blackburn is an interesting option.

A year on his contract, 28 goals last season, a good age (24) to benefit the squad and happy in a 2 or 3.

I reminds me very much of Danny Ings and available for around £20m.

I know Blackburn also looked at Simms so possible loan options as a sweetener should Blackpool miss out on promotion which would further Ellis' first team aspirations.

An interesting option indeed, looks to have good quick feet, an eye for a pass and a very natural goalscorer. He looks like the type of striker who would really floruish next to a target man like Calvert-Lewin. The only worry is that a lot of net-busting championship strikers in recent years have never been able to replicate that in the premier league but Ollie Watkins has shown that it can be done.

If the fee is sensible, I'd be all for this one. Matheus Pereira too. A proper defensive midfielder and an athletic right back who can cross a ball on top of that and I'm feeling a lot better about our squad, although I wouldn't say that would be our work complete.
