Everton Summer transfers 2021

I mean this is my point.

It'd be nice to see that we've worked on a deal in the pipeline for months, like Konate, like Soumare.

We know what we need. And have done for a while. It'd be nice to see us move swiftly and decisively early on - but we have again not seen evidence that that has been done. The legwork for Soumare was done by Leicester in the early spring. Are we totally incapable of that?

We either are incapable, or it's finances, and from the news this week it does appear that our owner asking around for extra investments to get round FFP would suggest it's the latter.
I've lived through enough Everton transfer windows to know that things usually move very late ....but I agree ..... an early signing / signaling some intent + planning would go a long way to switching the fans focus from an underwhelming and disappointing season end hangover to a new start next season.

Yep, obviously that shouldn't come at the expense of getting the right player in, and for the right price. i'm not saying otherwise.

But it isn't out of the realms of possibility and two of our rivals (or 'rivals' because that's where we want to be) have gone out and strengthened.

We know what we need and have done for ages. So it would be nice for us to do a not very Everton thing.

I still think we'll get them in and that we'll do so before the season starts, so it's all academic really I know.

Who?

Its only that crapper from DAS SPL isnt it so far?

Everton will have to pay at least £12.8million to sign Croatian forward Josip Brekalo from Wolfsburg in the summer, according to BILD.

The German newspaper reports Leeds, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Napoli are also interested in the 22-year-old, who scored seven goals and supplied four assists in 33 appearances across all competitions for Wolfsburg this season.

Soumare to Leicester too, and believe they're in for Edouard too though that is a deal which will probably take longer.

I'm not devastated to be missing any of them, and I think we'll get good players in.

My general point is it's not impossible to have deals done nice and early when it's clear what you need. But there's still time before the Euros for Everton to prove me wrong and get a player in and I'll eat humble pie.

It'd just be nice. But then again, it'd be nice if Jennifer Lawrence rocked up at mine tonight.

Soumare is still a Lille player.

Am I the only one who gets annoyed when we are linked with Forwards then to be told he's scored 7 and assisted 4 in 33 games.. excuse me... he's a Forward those are the numbers I'm expecting from a midfielder except with a few more assists. I don't want to have us signing forwards who can only manage 7 goals in 33 games.

Get Baku while we are Wolfsburg shopping. Right hand side sorted.
