Everton Summer transfers 2021

I'm glad Carlo left at the start of the window rather at the end after signing a load of washed up 30 something players.

I do wonder if Brands stood his ground on this issue and this contributed to Carlo wanting out. He's spent the last 3 years clearing out the rubbish left by previous managers
This is going to look silly once Brands secures the signatures of Zaha, Trippier, and Koulibaly in a few months time.

Agree with that it wasn't down to the fans at all, though some on here were never happy with him almost from the start. I'm just sick and tired of all the mess, we have to start all over again. Another manager has now upped, gone and left his mess for the next to clear up, rinse and repeat and again no stability. Sickened by it all and no sorry I don't wish him well at all, just another mercenary with no morals, hope it all blows up in his face.
This is why the DOF is so important.
The players signed are not completely at the whim of the manager .
Godfrey and Doucoure will be valuable to whoever gets the job next.
Allan will be equally valuable and still has substantial value if he decides he can't stay after Carlo has left.... although I can see no reason why he should leave.

JR is equally interesting, very much a Carlo signing but maybe there won't be a line of clubs anxious to sign him.
Will Carlo want to bring him back to Madrid ?

The point is really that the transfer activity of last summer was worthwhile then and still retain value now.

I think in this winter we need to concentrate on players that have played in the PL, that’s how City and Chelsea started out when they got money. Having the odd one or 2 from foreign top leagues is ok, but with PL experience they should fit straight in.

Siggy, Iwobi and Delph say hi.

We need to sign GOOD players. I don't care which corner of the earth they are from.
