Everton Summer transfers 2021

Well if the reports are anything to go by, then some of our players are considering their futures and might push to leave. No names given though from what I saw in the Athletic.
Their reasoning is that richarlison said he'd give it another year and ancelotti signed Rodriguez and Allan, so they'll probably want to leave. Could be true, could be bollocks. It's pure speculation.

I think we’ll see a fair few outs this summer, and as long as it’s not Digne, Godfrey or DCL I don’t think we should care really. Fully expect James, Richarlison, Mina and possibly Allan to agitate for a move, and I don’t want anyone who doesn’t want to be here.

Get us young hungry players with something to prove and good attitudes. Not the likes of Zaha or any cast offs from clubs above us. Get a manager who follows the same philosophy as Brands, and don’t let anyone else stick their noses in.
Yep, James will leave. He probably won't even return for pre-season and whilst it's a shame because he's genuinely class the guys legs are made out of Jenga and any new manager is unlikely to let him manage himself in the same way Carlo did.
Richarlison? who knows what happens there. He'll probably push for a move now but someone has to pay what we want and he hardly shone last season. He falls in that category for me where I'd love him to stay but he's not irreplaceable. It'll all depend on who the new manager is.
Mina? I think he may have been sold anyway and again like James he's great but can't be relied upon so maybe now's the right time to sell, make a profit and move on.
I think Allan will stay unless Carlo pushes for him to join Madrid maybe. I'll be honest as good as he has looked in patches if we can make our money back on him i'd sell. Hasn't looked the same since the injury and at 30 he's only going to get slower.
The only outfield players i wouldn't want to lose are Godfrey, Digne and Dom.... Doucoure too maybe as i think he's done well.
Everton has to find a way to turn this unexpected negative into a positive, that's what the likes of Leicester do and if it means using this as a hard reset of the 'project' then so be it because everything up to now hasn't worked.
Like you say, young hungry players and developing an ethos maybe not with an eye on finishing in Europe next season but being able to compete for Europe regularly for many seasons after.
In a weird way this could be exactly what the club need.

I don’t think people really comprehend how much of a mess Ancelotti’s sudden departure leaves us in.

The likes of James and Allan won’t want to stick around here now. Richarlison will want to move on regardless as he wants CL football. The plan may have been to look at getting 3 players around the first team off the books, likes of Iwobi, Delph Bernard & Davies... if the former two do move on thats two massive holes that need filling within the team already. Knowing we need at least 3/4 quality signings this summer it’s obviously threw a massive spanner in the works.

My other major concern is the new manager will want to wait and check out what he has available to him and decide to keep the jarg players above and give them another chance.

It’s not great.

Dumfries is a warrior very aggressive on the pitch but his ball control isn't the best, but their is alot to work with
yes my view on him too. He will come forward as a right back but his crossing is not spectacular/the best.
Hate to say it but the links might be lazy journalism: Dumfries want a fresh challenge, we want a right back, Brands worked at PSV. Nuno to decide lol

Get Zaha in for 30 mil if we can't get an alternative. We need extra pace and skill in the team

Get Emi Buendia in as well and Bissouma

Arrons from Norwich

Get rid of sig, davies
Easy peasy
Zaha!!!! Seriously the annual "I want out of Palace", "im better than this team" no mark, what would he add at 29 years of age?

no chance is he good enough!

....not sure that’s the case. Allan & James will have fantastic contracts other clubs may find difficult to match, especially given their age & injury records. I have no issue with either leaving, but they might not be so keen as folk think.

Id be open to any of them being punted at the right price bar Pickford, Godfrey and DCL...i like having a young english spine.

Well, did those players REALLY have that much of an impact in moving us forward and/or helping us succeed ??!!

They are very good players individually, and have gave us some good moments. But they are just players, hundreds and hundreds of them are avaialble around the world, they want out, we move on and bring in new players.

To me, no matter who we have, we finish the same position, issue is bigger than a couple of good players.

Yeah this is my major issue, and I think it will show who is running the show.

If its Brands, players in this squad will be up for sale and he should be working to move them on as he SHOULD know they aren't good enough. If its not, then they will still be here and get a clean slate while the new manager assesses his squad.

James will go, I thought this before the end of the season, 100% now with Carlo gone. Richarlison is someone I think will go, but my main worry is his value after a awful season. Allan doesn't strike me as someone who will kick up and go though.

Squad, bar 3/4 players, is a absolute mess, made up of too many mangers fancies and not enough planning in place for where they actually play.

Lots to be done, this was a massive summer before Carlo left, its absolutely critical this is done right now.
