Everton Summer transfers 2021

Yeah this is my major issue, and I think it will show who is running the show.

If its Brands, players in this squad will be up for sale and he should be working to move them on as he SHOULD know they aren't good enough. If its not, then they will still be here and get a clean slate while the new manager assesses his squad.

James will go, I thought this before the end of the season, 100% now with Carlo gone. Richarlison is someone I think will go, but my main worry is his value after a awful season. Allan doesn't strike me as someone who will kick up and go though.

Squad, bar 3/4 players, is a absolute mess, made up of too many mangers fancies and not enough planning in place for where they actually play.

Lots to be done, this was a massive summer before Carlo left, its absolutely critical this is done right now.
But the point of having a DoF is that there’s a longer-term strategy for players. So if our squad is *still* a mess that’s Brand’s fault

I have serious doubts that he has been doing that job tbh mate, he might be, but I do have doubts. I think Kenwright and Moshiri have driven the appointments and still have been including Carlo.

I am hoping that has changed now with their fingers being burnt and Brands now can have the train set.

Most of the players signed I would say have been managers picks, barring the likes of Godfrey. Even Doucoure, we wanted him under Silva so he's been on the board since then.

I don’t think people really comprehend how much of a mess Ancelotti’s sudden departure leaves us in.

The likes of James and Allan won’t want to stick around here now. Richarlison will want to move on regardless as he wants CL football. The plan may have been to look at getting 3 players around the first team off the books, likes of Iwobi, Delph Bernard & Davies... if the former two do move on thats two massive holes that need filling within the team already. Knowing we need at least 3/4 quality signings this summer it’s obviously threw a massive spanner in the works.

My other major concern is the new manager will want to wait and check out what he has available to him and decide to keep the jarg players above and give them another chance.

It’s not great.

The thing is though is that people will actually have to pay money to get them and we'll make money on all three. So it'll help us with ffp and give us some more money to the kitty.

Honestly apart from godfrey and DCL I'm not arsed who goes. As long as we get good money for them their welcome to leave if they don't want to be here.

Mad how we think the Premier League is SO much better when players when 90% of the players come from other leagues.

Dumfries plays in Holland but he has the key attributes of a Premier League signing:
  • Strong
  • Fast
  • Composure on the ball
He is a first team International for Holland and played European football too.

True but we can't stop buying from an entire nation because of one player we signed otherwise we'll have to get Elon Musk on board as Chief Scout on Mars

Didn't say otherwise, but do think it's prudent to exercise particular caution with players who play in the Eredivisie at PSV or Ajax - even though both would probably spank us.

I would agree. I don’t think he’s been doing that job either.
but if that’s the case then he should have gone. A good DoF would have walked rather than allowed themselves to be marginalised.

I always have this anti-Ajax agenda.

I think they produced some of the best footballers ever but recently (last 10 years) when they move from Ajax, whether it's over-coaching or under-coaching, they never hit the ground running.

You just have to watch them. It's quite easy to see, for me, which of them can do it in other leagues.
