I always have this anti-Ajax agenda.

I think they produced some of the best footballers ever but recently (last 10 years) when they move from Ajax, whether it's over-coaching or under-coaching, they never hit the ground running.

Is it not just that AJax players are brought up at every level of the club to play the "Ajax way", which means Ajax are very successful.

The problem is that no other teams in the world play the"Ajax way" which means their player have a tendency to look terrible at any other Club, unless they are allowed to do what they do without being forced into another way of playing?

....not sure that’s the case. Allan & James will have fantastic contracts other clubs may find difficult to match, especially given their age & injury records. I have no issue with either leaving, but they might not be so keen as folk think.

Do you believe James if given the opportunity to play Champions League football again at say a club like Inter, if it meant taking a 15% or so wage cut would turn his nose up? I’d be very surprised mate. There were rumours floating about when we signed him that he actually took a wage cut to come here.

Given his stock and the fact his agent is Jorge Mendes there would probably be something that includes a bigger payment in advance so he’s not missing out as much.

Unsworth bigs up his favourites. Joe Williams was ready fir the first team 2 years ago. His new toy is Rhys Hughes. Who may turn out great. But he’s 20 soon and 17yrs olds like Onyango & price have by passed him

Carlo’s will be the interesting one. If we pay the new manager anything less we could be looking at a significant saving that could go towards other players. Especially if Madrid have given us any compo as well.
