That was a really dumb buy tho. He was literally nothing like the standard of PL player should be. He wasn't fast, he didn't have a great passing range, he didn't attack the ball when we didn't have it, his main selling point was that he scored goals because he was usually the 2nd or 3rd player in the box and, really, when do we EVER have 3 people in the box at once until the 85th minute??

The main issue was buying so many players of a similar ilk - Rooney/sigurdsson/vlasic

Might have never been good enough but he never got a chance to settle.

That's all there is to it though. Whether it's suited to the Prem, suited to the club etc, they're the things you're paying your scouts/DoF/manager to identify and we've been consistently rubbish at it in recent years. We've signed plenty of players who are decent in their own right, but pretty much never looked like we have a balanced team with players who are comfortable doing the job we need them to do. It really shouldn't be as hard as we seem to make it.

If we could get Zaha for £30m I would be happy with that, I think it would be more like £40m. I don't think he would come until a manager is in place.

I would take Buendia, Arsenal have supposedly bid £30m for him I would take Arrons as well, but I have a feeling both will stay with Norwich for another season because they have been promoted

I think Siggurdsson will go to the MLS in the January window, he spoke to them last year about that. I wouldn't want to sell Davies until we get a replacement or 2 in CM and until we know what's hapening with James.

Big priority has to be getting Benard out for door based on his high wages and Delph/Gomes because they are useless.

Carlo’s will be the interesting one. If we pay the new manager anything less we could be looking at a significant saving that could go towards other players. Especially if Madrid have given us any compo as well.

Well if the rumours are correct that's another £225k per week plus , of course what we were paying Davide and any other hangers on.
