Everton Summer transfers 2021

I don’t think people really comprehend how much of a mess Ancelotti’s sudden departure leaves us in.

The likes of James and Allan won’t want to stick around here now. Richarlison will want to move on regardless as he wants CL football. The plan may have been to look at getting 3 players around the first team off the books, likes of Iwobi, Delph Bernard & Davies... if the former two do move on thats two massive holes that need filling within the team already. Knowing we need at least 3/4 quality signings this summer it’s obviously threw a massive spanner in the works.

My other major concern is the new manager will want to wait and check out what he has available to him and decide to keep the jarg players above and give them another chance.

It’s not great.
Tbf if we pick a manager who is either British or has been in the premier league he will already know how jarg they are.

Good chunk gone.

Thats £300k per week minimum saved. Be willing to bet Penno and Connolly weren’t on less than £10k p/w either.

I enjoy seeing these wasters leave more than I enjoy new signings most of the time.

Going to be a very interesting summer. Could hopefully see some of those who aren’t good enough leave; Iwobi, Bernard, Kenny, Delph, Tosun, Gomes. As well as those who definitely don’t want to be here, Kean, and those who are very likely to want a move; Richarlison, James, Allan, and even possibly but hopefully not Mina and Digne.

Doesn’t leave us with much of a squad like, but you can’t keep the crap ones if a decent offer comes in and you can’t keep the unhappy ones if they’re toxic either.

Don't think the club would allow that many to move on at once it would leave us with about eleven players.

That’s why I said “some of”. The point was to highlight just how many of our players futures are uncertain. We’ll also only sell our best players ala Digne if they go full bellend and basically go on strike, which I suspect one of two of them will do. Not Digne hopefully.

I think we basically have two options.

We either get the most Hollywood manager we can attract, or we pick a less glamorous one that's going to work within the structure we're meant to have, with Brands as DoF.

If it's the former, I do worry that he's going to want to cast his eye over what we have and decide who he thinks isn't good enough. That's bad news, I think, and probably will mean we hold on to more of the deadwood.

If it's the latter, and we're going to be able to have a system where the DoF is actually the man in charge, you'd hope that the players we wanted to get rid of this summer will stay on that list.

I'd like a big-name manager, but I think I'd prefer a well-run club where the DoF is allowed to be a DoF.

Oh yeah I don't doubt we will listen to offers for many of our squad
