Nuno had Moutinho / Neves most games so no real defensive midfielder.

For me if were getting a midfielder id get a DM. We could get a top quality young starter for 20mil...up to £30mil.

£20mil for a Sporting squad player seems pretty high to me dont you think?

Wouldn't be the 1st time we've been linked with a player in order for that club to get a better deal from another interested party. We could be being used to get Newcastle to firm up their interest.

….I imagine if he’s agreed to join, he’ll have already given a view on Brands targets & identified one or two of his own. I doubt deals are on hold.
