Everton Summer transfers 2021

Everton are leading Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus misfit Merih Demiral, according to Tuttosport. The Toffees have entered talks with the burly central defender.

Both Premier League outfits are keen on landing the player. He is valued at £37.5 million by the Old Lady and will be allowed to leave this summer.

Demiral has fallen way down the pecking order in Turin. He featured just 24 times under Andrea Pirlo last season and will seek pastures new.
Awful player.

Demiral was linked with us long before Benitez came in.

But if he signs it'll be all Rafael's fault thats the theme I sense in the coming months Pickford could drop a ball into his own net and it'll be somehow Benitez's fault lol
If we don't win games, it's the managers fault. If the players don't perform he should drop them. If we are ahead of or even in an equivalent position at points of next season compared to where Ancelotti had us this season then there will be some cover. If he's behind the curve with the same players plus a couple of his own then he'll be responsible for that, yes.

The ship's probably well sailed cos they've looked great at Euros. But Dumfries, Berardi, Sanches would make a massive difference to our team.

There is zero in it for us to loan him out again. We should tell them it's €50m or do one. We won't though as we seem to be completely incapable of coming out of a transfer deal with any sort of credit at all.
They will tell us to do one.
There clearly isn't interest in Kean to drive the price to that level.
We will do well to get our money back.

Then we should do one. I'd rather give him a crack here than subsidise the playing squad of either the richest or second richest club on the planet.
I would be happy to see him come back and try to establish himself but I think he has no interest in that.

When the season in France finished he publicly told the PSG followers he hoped to be back next season. That is an unusual thing to do for a loan player.

Whilst I'd rather not have a player who doesn't want to be here, I also don't want the club to get a reputation for acquiescing to petulant players and their obnoxious agents. He wants to go, fine, his agent should work to arrange a deal that is suitable for all parties. If that is not possible, he is under contract and we should look to use him where we can. The alternative is essentially placing a big sign above the club saying "mugs" to all the Raiola's and Mendes' of the world.

Demiral has just had an awful Euros, and I'm not sure we need another sick note. Anyway, the "source" is Benitez's Ricky Ryder so I'm not sure we have to worry about it.

The lad Demiral looked awful at the euros. Rondon is surely a wind up?

Havent bothered with the Euros.

Not sure thats a good place to judge players...

Along with Di Sciglio they are horrendous signings really.

So much for buying talented young players. Rondon wouldn't make our bench.

I dont believe any of these links at all.

Cant remember anyone linked who would immediately be first choice.

Have we been linked to any pacey wingers? Only names I recall hearing were Diaby and Bailey and that seems ages ago (did we only scout Leverkusen?)
