Per footballfancst still have a chance of Galtier for manager.

Also read somewhere that we are competing with Spurs to signm a Japanese CB aged 22, 6ft 2in just cannot recall his name or where Iread it.

I'm just letting you know I've blocked you on twitter and I'm blocking you on here you absolute psycho.

Please seek medical help.

P.s.
Sigurdsson is pya kak and the only type of people who think different tuck their genitals between their legs and dance around naked to the song "goodbye horses" while talking to themselves in the mirror.

Agree we have a massively bloated squad but id say depending on our formation, striker could probably do with some back up given Nathan Broadhead was our only attacking option on a 9 man bench at times last season. That all depends on Benitez formation and whether Richarlison will be a striker or winger for him as well though.

Another Godfrey type signing at right back and right wing would be ideal and our squad would look a lot more balanced especially if we manage to shift Bernard and one of the central midfielders.
I'm not sure our squad is that bloated any more, it's just not got a huge amount of quality in it. With everyone who has just left at the end of their contracts I make our squad 24 players (26 if you count Branthwaite and Gordon) which isn't huge. Problem is, of that 26, only Pickford, Keane, Mina, Godfrey, Digne, Allan, Doucoure, James, Richarlison and DCL have anything about them. You could make arguments for Nkounkou, Branthwaite and Gordon as prospects and Holgate, Davies and maybe even Sigurdsson as squad players (I know I'll get some grief for that last bit) but that's only 16 players that I have any faith in. We need 4-6 quality additions, imo, and I'm not sure we're going to get them.

That's it we have very little depth or rotation options as good as our starters. There's a reason only one or two of our subs did anything off the bench for the entirety of last season.

I'd say if you have a squad of 26 and only 16 are any good it's still bloated. With your numbers we still have 10 players you don't have any faith in which is weighing down the squad. We will be sell to buy sadly as you've omitted some of our highest earners. The midfield is definitely bloated we currently have 7 central midfielders and 3/4 left wingers (if you count richarlison) for next season as it stands. We desperately need a right back, and we still have 2 of those on the books and a right winger as our first priorities.

It's not as bad as a few years ago but we still have an awfully constructed squad
