Everton Summer transfers 2021

We aren't even linked with Rondon at this stage it's just people putting two and two together. Second sure experience can have it's uses off the bench but personally hI prefer bringing in potential we can sell on or can develop into a first team player. Even Kean who hasn't worked out we will get a good chunk for him. Whereas you look at a Kone he was an experienced option who cost us millions for very little so it's not guaranteed.
Hate to break it to you but Arouna Kone has more goals for Everton than Kean does for 1/5th the price. We were looking at a massive loss on Kean until that PSG loan and even then we still might loan him out again this summer it's not guaranteed we make anything from him.

Wed all prefer Everton just sign high potential superstars in the making for every position but that's just not realistic. Nothings guaranteed

I hate to break it to you each of those six goals probably cost us millions in wages since he did very little/was injured for a majority of his four seasons at the club. But we can spin it all ways you do need a mix of potential and experience in a squad.

I'm not a scout I was just going with three realistic names and we have been linked with him for two years. It's probably not realistic now though as he has put up good numbers in a strong league for two years. Who would you suggest?
It wasn't specifically aimed at you or anyone for that matter but the obsession with LB given we've only been linked with him thanks to 1. Skybet and betting odds and 2. [Publication is blacklisted due to spam] and footballInsider etc. Columns saying we should sign him. Nobody with any ties at the club has said we were looking at him.

There's loads out there that are just as unrealistic as Bailey for the price Leverkusen would want which would be about 50 million. But for me Adam Hlozek should be one we should be in for before he goes to a Leverkusen type club and his price doubles. There's loads of right wingers out there not just Bailey

I think people sometimes get obsessed with the idea of players turning into superstars but they don't need to. What I want to see is more signings like Godfrey; just players who have the skillset and ability to come into the side and perform at a good level, with the potential to get even better. I have no issue with picking up one or two experienced pros to bulk up the squad, but we have to be careful that we get the balance right. We aren't exactly light on experience, and i'd be wary of adding too many more players who have no long term value (whether financial or performance wise) to the club.

I can tell you right now Moise Kean is on more than Arouna Kone was. Sandro Ramirez was a young player with potential who was signed on more as well.

And Kone was a bad signing anyway I'm not defending it

i cant believe chelsea are letting Gilmour go out on loan, we should be all over that instead of Norwich, he'd be our best midfielder right away

Brands wouldn't know a good player if it smacked him in the chops.

And people are fuming Usmanov/Moshiri are not letting the bloke pick the next manager we would end up with Doink the Clown.

Agree we have a massively bloated squad but id say depending on our formation, striker could probably do with some back up given Nathan Broadhead was our only attacking option on a 9 man bench at times last season. That all depends on Benitez formation and whether Richarlison will be a striker or winger for him as well though.

Another Godfrey type signing at right back and right wing would be ideal and our squad would look a lot more balanced especially if we manage to shift Bernard and one of the central midfielders.

We definitely need another striker, ideally i'd like someone who can genuinely challenge DCL rather than being just a back up. I think the back end of last season highlighted that issue for us, when neither of the 2 main forwards was really firing but King evidently just wasn't seen as an option to replace them. DCL has been really good for us, but i'm not sure he's been so good that we can box off his position as untouchable. A youngish striker who has enough about them to at least offer a viable alternative while also being able to improve would be ideal. Obviously at the moment it's very difficult to know what or who we need because we don't know what the manager thinks/how much money there is etc.

He'd get 2 starts for us until January and end up having the loan terminated early when Benitez starts the experienced players instead. Norwich could be a good move for him imo, not that much competition for places, possession football, coach who develops young players

Ideally I would too but maybe naively I still have faith in Richarlison to rebound and hit double figures next season. Though he might have a cob on if, as its rumoured, we stop his dream of playing for Brazil in the olympics. Or could be off completely which would be an entirely different problem.

I wonder how much Real would want for Jovic on a loan with an option to buy, been misfiring for 2 years now but you don't sign for Madrid for 60 million if you're completely hopeless. He'd be a better option than Rondon but wages could be an issue. That'd be my ideal one.
