I've been concerned for a while now, with rumours he not well, not attending matches, and now no word on Howard, he must be bad if he can't speak about Howard Kendall.
Not looking good.

This unfortunately is what i think.

For whatever people think of Bill, he is great in situations when having to eulogize about people/situations. There is no way in heaven that when the greatest manager Everton have ever had dies, Bill would not be there giving a great speech and putting on a show for him.

I really hope the Twitter rumours are untrue, whatever you think of Bill, no man deserves that. I just have a horrible feeling with the no-shows etc there are some credence to what has been said.

Anyway Bill wishing you all the best, and if you are poorly, Get well soon.

Totally agree here. I haven't seen any of the stuff on social media but I did think to myself it was unusual that he has not provided any comments about Howard Kendall and he wasn't there on Saturday. There's no way Bill would have not paid tribute to our greatest ever manager and one of our finest ever players. I am certainly concerned and hope that he can make a full recovery from whatever it is he and his family are going through.

Indeed, but you'd hope (no more than hope) that we continue the savviness we've shown in the transfer market in the past five to ten years.

With a talented striker to support Rom, a creative midfielder and cover or competition in a few places and we'd be in much stronger position.

Our problem is that we're pretty sparse on competition below the first twelve or thirteen players. That extra money would hopefully fill this void.

I suppose it comes down to how seamless the transition could be made, as other posters have mentioned. You would think any new owners would have taken time to evaluate what the club already does well, with a view to continuing that good work. Like you say though we can only hope because that's not always the way it works out.

Agree that we need more competition in the squad and that new owners could fix this. A friends Dad said to me a few years back that he thought Everton had a first 11 that was of Champions League quality, but the rest of the squad was not good enough for us to ever really challenge consistently. Looking back he was spot on.

This is like one of those William Burrough's 'cut-up' pieces of text.

Not even remotely understandable.

Sorry Dave, I don't accept that as the kind of response I would expect from you. Its a perfectly clear easy to understand posting which many will disagree with, and as you are one of the most articulate and reliable 'anti board' posters on here I'd expect an interesting response from you instead of a throwaway cyber heckle.

It really is most unusual that Bill Kenwright has not commented publicly on the death of Howard Kendall.

Bill is usually excellent in these situations, he throws in little pieces of information about things that happened or about the persons personality that can bring the whole story to life. He is a very good communicator.

I hope everything is well with him and his family, but it is worrying.

I have no desire to see this man pass away, however the bare facts of his reign are there for all to see.

We have fallen massively behind the likes of Utd, Arsenal and even the RS and Spurs. We are no longer contenders for any trophies at all, which we were under Royle and possibly even before that under HK mk2. While our rivals have proven European managers (LVG, Klopp, Wenger, Pellegrini, Mourinho) we remain committed to a 3rd probable mid-table season with a Wigan manager whose command of English stretches to 'phenomenal' and 'unique'.

To those who say 'ah but at least we aren't Blackburn, Cardiff, Villa etc) I say that a club our stature would never have to stoop to the levels of the aforementioned clubs allowing chancers like the Venkys or Tan to gain control. If and when Kenwright departs I am certain we will be able to attract proper and serious levels of investment without the likes of Blue Bill blocking the way due to some misguided sense of mission.

He's one man and one man alone should not be able to hold the club back for nigh on 20 years which is what has effectively happened at Everton.

Not the time mate.

.....

Two seasons ago we finished 5th with our highest points tally in the Premiership era. Quite what Martinez' command of English has to do with anything is beyond me.
