How people can stand outside the hen house telling the people inside how to suck eggs is always a mystery to me.

*Rant Ahoy*

Where in your synapses does it tell you you'd make you an expert on how to run a football club? So what you doing wasting all your time on the internet when you could actually be winning the Champions League as Chairman?

@davek "I just judge him on his impact on Everton, which is lamentable. He should leave asap."

Lets break this statement down from our man here. What would be Kewnright's 'impact'? Honest question. Solid Footing? A steady guiding hand at a time it was all going pear shaped? Or a complete disaster when we got relegated? Where are we now as of 2015? With one of the most exciting, youngest squads we've ever had? Poised on the cusp of either flogging them off for bank or winning stuff? Davek you'd be a great Fox News Anchor. I'm glad we're always in Terror Alert Level Indigo in your mind.

And now he's not very well, leading to "Oh I don't have anything but respect for the man and the only agenda I'd like to keep pushing is for the sake of the Club." Of course this will fit very nicely into a conspiracy.

Oh the failed moves! Oh The 'lack' of investment! The Marketing! Oh the Marketing! The Stadium! Oh the Stadium! Woah betide us!

News Flash. History will tell you Kenwright did a good, solid job during his time in the seat, long after we're all in the ground. All the disgruntled against him are fueled by rumour and fuzzy memories of apparent better times at best and the constant Tall Poppy Syndrome has always made for a poisonously one sided debate. You see the top 4 all eating cake and you want some too. We all do, but sometimes patience is all it takes.

Especially if you're an Evertonian.

*Rant Astern*
This is like one of those William Burrough's 'cut-up' pieces of text.

Not even remotely understandable.

If we do get taken over i obviously want us to have a proper owner with a proper business plan.

I'd hope we could either buy finch farm fully, or build a even better one with the right investment, and implement that youth player house RM wanted on the training ground.

Even 20-30m a season without having to sell players, would be a massive improvement on the playing squad.

But we'll just see how it goes.

Speculation started on twitter. I'd like to think we're a bit better than twitter. Of course, I could be wrong about that.
I prefer not to generalise where Twitter is concerned. Yes there's plenty of fruit loops on there who talk out of their rear ends, but then again you could argue that there's plenty who do the same on here too.

There are also (just like on here), plenty of well respected people who use twitter/social media too. It can be a valuable source of information if you look in the right places.

Last word on that from me and apologies to the esk for going off topic.

Takeover.. Think we could see some movement sooner rather than later.

People are saying that because he's chosen not to talk about his health publicly that that means we should all not discuss any rumours that he's seriously poorly and any speculation is about his condition is disrespectful, I'm sorry but I disagree with that.

As chairman and majority shareholder of Everton Football Club he chose to put himself in what is a very public position. I don't agree with people spreading malicious rumours that they know aren't true but I don't believe it's insensitive to debate what could be up with him or what impact it could be having on the club.

If Bill doesn't appear at the AGM next month then I honestly feel shareholders would be well within their rights to ask club representatives to answer why the chairman is not present and then be given an honest answer. I don't mean we have to be told the ins and outs of his exact condition but all this guessing is just making everybody very uneasy and shareholders especially are entitled to an answer as to why the head of the club can't be there to speak to them.

I hope Bill is okay and that whatever is wrong with him that he gets past it. However, a point is going to come where supporters can't just be expected to mind their own business anymore on this issue. We need to know where our club is going and who is involved and who isn't.

Lads just saw on Twitter that Kenwright's got cancer. Is that true? Or just jarg? Really sad if it's true, he's a Blue through and through horrible to see that happening to any of us.

He "chose" to be chairman, not to have his private matters, especially health related, shared with all and sundry.

Oh, and yes, it is insensitive to debate. Just like its insensitive to talk about your Nana's will when she coughs a couple of times, or who is going to get your parents house.

All very true, although our (possible) new owners could end up being just as rubbish at investment in the squad as Liverpool's American owners are.
Indeed, but you'd hope (no more than hope) that we continue the savviness we've shown in the transfer market in the past five to ten years.

With a talented striker to support Rom, a creative midfielder and cover or competition in a few places and we'd be in much stronger position.

Our problem is that we're pretty sparse on competition below the first twelve or thirteen players. That extra money would hopefully fill this void.

I've been concerned for a while now, with rumours he not well, not attending matches, and now no word on Howard, he must be bad if he can't speak about howard.
Not looking good.

Insensitive perhaps, but they're the sort of unavoidable conversations that have to take place every single day.
