How much can we spend before we'd start to get into trouble with the financial fair play rules? And what would be the punishment? Seems like everyone else seems to get away with it but it would be very Everton if we went on a massive spending spree and ended up getting banned from Europe.

He has been their only good player this season.

Won't claim I watched every Villa match because they were painful to see, but he was not a standout by any means from the matches I did see. We should aim higher than this IMO.

Its not my money, £40 million for one of the best on the planet is a massive statement, and shows we mean business.

I'd have no trouble spending £40 million on a Keeper, but it won't matter how good he is if the cattle in front of him keep leaking like a sieve!
