OK everton then. 5 players in 14 years have made it. 2 of them are or will be on the championship next season. One nearly got relegated and one in the team currently.

Liverpool. None.

City, one, before thst about 6 years ago.

Chelsea, none.

Arsenal? One in March. Their first team otherwise bought.

Tottenham, two maybe more, took a long time to implement them.

Leiscter, none.

West ham, one, before him been a while.

exactly, so a potential suitor has the best bargaining tool here. i suspect it would be the new manager's decision. someone like moyes would definitely extend his contract as he's a stick to what you know guy. A new manager would probably have a couple of training sessions and see young players like dowell and barkley knocking him out of the park and realise there's no need for a new contract.

...nah, I think it's more likely there's a queue of clubs after some of these players and they can pick and choose. It's a great time to be a footballer and I suspect Everton is only an option for them.

Highly unlikely sadly, would be ideal though! We desperately need a holding midfielder who isn't the most immobile man ever (looking at you, Barry)
