I'd take him. Would have took him last year as well. Good option to have over Ross, and can play out wide as well.Wijnaldum
Not the most defensive player in the team but we have enough defenders to compensate thst.

I would be interested to know how that conclusion is reached? IIRC, the last TV deal saw us bring in around an extra 90 million over 3 years (circa 30 million per year) and that's what has allowed our significant outlay on new players in recent years. Other clubs have experienced similar increases in money, and the Premier League has been awash with money.
Now whilst that money can no longer be classed as additional in the sense that it has become the norm over the last few seasons, clubs are still receiving that level of money each year. This latest new TV deal is even bigger than the last one, 71% bigger, and clubs will start receiving this additional money at different times throughout next season, with the first tranche coming some time during this August I believe?
The amount of TV money received by clubs over the next few years is going to be bigger than ever, and it will be the main driver behind what is likely to be a crazy summer of transfers with massive levels of expenditure throughout the Premier League.
So who would you spend the £100m on then...not on the back ups just...
A proven quality goalkeeper
A playmaker
A primary striker
Victor Valdes is at United but out of contract in a month. Would he not be an excellent signing on a free?
Think @MoutsGoat listed players city bought in their first 'money' year, players below the elite or mercenaries like robinho....don't think we quite have very money for the mercanaries
no he's poor
well, he's probably very rich, but he's a poor goalkeeper
Has Rooney been discussed on here? Apologies if so.
Would Utd be prepared to sell him? Would we want him?
If they were prepared to leave him go, I feel he still has a lot to offer, could improve the clubs profile and potentially attract others. Bringing in bigger players will be a process over 2-3 years.
Also, would Schneiderlin be available, and would Koeman be keen on teaming up with him again?
Just about to say that, Mata also.I'd have Rooney back for sure. Some others on here wouldn't. Which I can understand too.
Not sure we'd pay his wages though. Even with our new don in charge.
Would defo take Schneiderlein too.
The thing with Rooney is that I'm sure he would love to come back here for a few seasons before he retires. If the clubs were willing to do a deal, Everton would be in a strong position regarding his wage demands.
If you want to come home and play for Everton, here's the salary. Feel free to turn it down and make more in China/USA.
Wanyama better option than Schneiderlein? Think they would command similar fees.
