Agree with this, still think there is a good player in McCarthy, weren't too long ago he was covering every blade of grass and tackling anything that moved. Maybe he just needs some desire back.

Mata is massive upgrade on our creative side but he is slow and doenst have a great work rate. Why Jose is not a fan. But we do need a playmaker and if we could get a powerhouse midfielder behind him.

A Utd STH I work with reckons Mata is head and shoulders above his team mates and has had a bum deal from LVG. I think he'd do well here, good experienced link up player.

This squad needs to big clear out and that starts with the likes of McCarthy, Cleverley etc. They aren't good enough for top 4 teams currently, and I'd much rather sell them for £25m combined than Stones for £40m.

I'm not completely sold on Mata the way some are. Good player and I wouldn't be unhappy to see him in a blue shirt but it wouldn't exactly be windmilling time for me.

I´d be very happy with Mata, dependent on the fee. At 25 mil sure but at anything more maybe not.

There is obviously a budget but I don't know where they got £100 million from.

If the players we want are available and willing to join we are likely to spend more than that figure.
