Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I think Cleverley will stand a very good chance under Koeman .

Koeman got a tune out of Steven Davies who I think is very similar to Cleverley and someone who may play more than we think .

If he has the money and backing to go for players of the calibre of Strootman, Mata and Witsel mate, he won't give Cleverley a second thought as he ships him off out, think people don't fully realise that Koemans come here not to 'do a southampton' but genuinely to achieve something - even if his main purpose in achieving things is to get a barca or arsenal job in years to come etc

Could he get atune out of cleverley - maybe so, is their any need for him to bust his ass turning a average player into a semi decent one, no and honestly the club should hope those days are moving behind us

While it is fun lobbing these names about, and having the titbits from Esk, the point above about some wanting £35m for James Mac, perhaps Koeman will, again, to steal a post, get a tune out of player who 2 years ago looked terrific.

We have some great players, they have been Martinezed. Them back fit and disciplined, with a few incoming, might not be the worst idea of all time.

Exactly, He doesn't exactly scream out 'we're totally going for it!' He's not a bad player, scores one in 4, but he's no longer in the Spain squad and has moved around a bit lately. He would require a big wage. I would personally not go for him, but I am not the manager and he is a much better judge of what is needed.

Think you'd be in a very small minority who though that, Mata would be the biggest signing i can remember this club making in the premiership (when stuff started going a bit silly) and the biggest by a country mile

Or maybe the likes of Bournemouth with their new found tv money will offer us 25m for McCarthy mate

This. Cleverley is as average as average gets and should be moved on this summer.

Think if Koeman gets us to where Moshiri wants us to be, we'll react the same as those Soton fans in 3 years time. Arsenal? Just a sideway step at the very best!;)

Agree with this, still think there is a good player in McCarthy, weren't too long ago he was covering every blade of grass and tackling anything that moved. Maybe he just needs some desire back.
