I hope that's a joke

He's a much better player than people give him credit for and has always got assists at 'any' level he's played at including international. He got 8 assists last year, is intelligent and can pick a pass.

Not saying we should buy him but I find it funny how so many people slate players they've probably watched about 2 or 3 times if ever.

What date is pre-season starting anyone? Guessing we won't see much movement till then anyways with Koeman wanting to have a look at the squad (obviously minus the internationals).

I happen to have seen a lot of him mate. With Redmond he was easily Norwich's best player last season, but he's definitely not good enough for where we want to be.

FGS, we've got people saying Mata and Sneijder aren't good enough, and that we should be binning a proven quality player (when he's given a specific role) in the form of McCarthy.

Hoolahan is a better option than Mata for a number of reasons.
- Mata would be expensive and on big wages
- Mata also fades after 70 mins
- Mata would think he's bigger than the club after where he's come from
- Mata usually can;t handle the more physical aspects of the game
- Hoolahan would be cheap for signing and wages, granted he's getting on a bit
- Hoolahan doesn't go missing during games
- Hoolahan wouldn't complain if he was benched/taken off during games
- Hoolahan has a great assist and scoring record for his price range.

Worth a gamble I think and if it didn't work out it wouldn't be a big financial loss.

Are you Wes Hoolahan?

oh my word...

We have more money than we've ever had before and people want Wes Hoolahan? I wouldn't have had him when we were poor. Christ this club mate.

Obviously Mata is preferable. But lets be realistic, he's a gamble and at the price he's not worth it. Alternatives to Hoolahan are obviously better, but I didn't bring up Hoolahan in the first place :)
