Maybe, I just think a few folks are being overly harsh on his qualities. He wouldn't be my choice either. However, lukaku, long and let's say an exciting young player like embolo, batshuayi, etc would make a decent 3 for next season. I think we can all agree we need at least two strikers in for kone and niasse.

Embolo is pretty much a done deal to Schalke. Batshuayi is the better player at this moment, definitely

I like Besic, but can see some peoples logic of not liking him, my mate calls him a 'wannabe hard man' and can only run... I think he deserves a chance under Koeman.

Right now a 'wanna be hard man' is the only hard man in this team. Too soft and too nice, RK should address that as well. I like Besic and think given a good run and clean bill of health he will be great in the middle. He's one of the only ones not afraid to go in hard on his tackles.

He does yes, but I think we would benefit more with him as a holding player.

he really can do all of the things you say he can't.

the main thing for him is getting a full pre-season under his belt (which he hasn't had so far) and making sure he can avoid niggly injuries. His third season in the PL now coming from a poor league - about to turn 24. This is the year that we will be able to tell if he'll fully cut it.
