His knee literally exploded with that cruciate injury.
Before that he never had any issues.
Though I'm sure I read somewhere that the Roma medical staff had been heavily criticised for their plan to get him recouped after that first injury (2014) and that's what then led to the recurring knee ops.
He was absolutely dreadful last season. Like horrific.
I'd rather have a one-legged Strootman than Gibbo and Cleverley in the team so... buy. I think one more injury like that and he'll consider retiring but if he's over it now he'd be our best player by a country mile.
