Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I'm feeling really good about Everton too right now but do you really go from scoring the equaliser in a champions league final to joining a team that finished 11th in the premier league last season?

People do think this, same type of people who was like, ' let's get Jose Moshiri kidda'

To be fair...

look who City bought in during the Sheikhs first season, wasnt it Robinho?

What about Roman when he did, wasnt it Robben?

I may have skewed my recollections but some players do buy into projects (and huge salaries!)

both was coming to end of careers and was marquee signings, not a 22 year old in one of best clubs in world and under best manager in the world arguably......

Whilst I agree that Carrasco is not gonna happen, your characterisation of a 25 year old Robinho and a 21 year old Robben as coming to the end of the careers when they were big name signings is woefully inaccurate. In fact perhaps they may provide a way to make a marquee signing for Everton. A younger player with huge potential may be the way to go.

these are the same people who will be crying when we don't get top 4 next season.

Top4 is a pipe dream at the moment, the state Bobby left us in we are miles behind where we should be, we will be lucky to get top6 next year, will be faster than blue bill and co but will still take time for Moshiri to build us to that level possibly 2-3 seasons.

By end of careers i meant not in general but at club level, say if City or chelsea didn't come in for them they would of been off anyway, Carrasco would not leave Atletico under Digeo end of story.

I agree by the way that we could make an incredible marquee signing like a Mata or Rodriguez but that's because they're both out of favour with their current teams and we can now afford their wages. These seem like sensible, if a bit outlandish, shouts.

I cant believe we are getting so impatient (myself included) with the lack of transfer activity and its only June!!!

What do you mean, "At Club Level", mate?

And whilst I am sure buying players from Athletico is unrealistic - I agree with you - there are players out there who would have been unrealistic a year ago that we may now go out and get.

William Carvalho would be a great one, for example.
Dries Mertens another.

William Carvalho is an awful player, would rather have Morgan, Carvalho is another one of them players who people haven't watched play regularly, offers nothing going forward, slow, can't suit high tempo games, united dodged a bullet not signing him.
