I know lots on here are too young to remember the howls of fury when HK was buying crocks and has-beens for the team? Rubbish like Peter Reid, Andy Gray, paul Power and some ex binman from Bury! But you can probably imagine how underwhelmed Leicester where when they were buying kack like Vardy from Fleetwood?

Being older, or being unknown does not equate to being rubbish guys? As Alf Ramsey said, i choose players that fit the system i want to play, not necessarily the best player for each position! Chill out and lets see how we are playing when the season starts!

We can't judge Koeman on signings before they have even played.
Most seemed excited by Niasse until he got on the pitch.

Mandanda isn't top class but he's played at the highest level. In Europe and for France so he's a big time player. On a free as well you can't go wrong really.
Seems a bit small when I think back to watching Marseille over the years. Don't know how tall he actually is like

He isn't crap - but he isn't the top level of keeper. Would he do a good job, yes, is there better out there we could look at first? definitely.

for a free transfer, its a no brainer though, even if he was the backup.
