Everton Transfer Thread 2016

The only time to "worry" if that's even the right word is if it's the end of July and we have no one in. The manager will have targets already but hasn't even seen his own squad of senior and youth players to think "hmm he's better than I thought maybe we don't need another X yet".

If I could reach through screens I'd be dishing out slaps to some of you.

No matter what we have just lost out to crystal palace and Alan Pardew for a signing.....not great is it?

For a player we are confirmed to wanting....Oh wait...

Don't believe everything you read, the reports of "meeting Everton" where probably a leak by the agent to get better terms.

If we signed Kovacic and Strootman or Witsel it would be right up there as one of the top centre mids with barkley in front.
would it still be one of the best central mids if Strootman sat most of the season out because of injury?

MASSIVE and i mean massive liability Strootman is right now. Don't care how good he was meant to be, until he shows he can play the majority of a season then we may as well keep gibson as the injury prone midfielder.

Given the wall of silence the club now seems to operate, I'm just sitting tight to see who we get, ignoring the papers in the process.

I'm deffo not getting my knickers in a twist over other teams signing players, and just because a comic paper says we're interested in someone doesn't mean it's true.

Despite it being frustating for us fans who love to speculate and discuss possible signings, it's impressive how the club operates so close to it's chest now.

Without @The Esk, would we have any idea what to expect with the club?

I can imagine this is a help with our negotiations for players too, as well as other clubs finding dealing with us pleasant compared to how for example Chelsea were for Stones last summer.

Do you actually have another gif at your disposal?

Such a revolutionary approach to the transfer window will never catch on.

I think if we are going for him then the terms will be the interesting part of it.

The fact he was allowed to play in the Dutch games gives me hope, complaints against how his first injury was managed and operated on could just show how poorly he was treated and the new op has sorted him out.

IF, and it is a big IF, we get him and he is fit. He would boss the league. Great player, on the right terms absolutely worth the punt.
