Been huge rumours that Veloso was going to Villareal for something ridiculously cheap like 3m euros as well mate, last year of his deal etc, honestly would be all over that for that type of price.

Both Kiev cb's would be good additions - Dragovic is absolute quality and the other bloke is a bit of a old fashioned stopper type

These defenders rumours worry me as we don't really need another one but we do usually have 4 defenders at the club so maybe we do or its a replacement for stones.

Yep, we might have promised him last season that he should give us 1 more season as we didn't have time for a replacement as he put a request in the last minute. He hadn't signed a new contract or said he want to stay. The lad wants out

It's just easy column inches to fill mate, same papers run with a story on stones leaving and it adds weight to that story because they are running with stories linking us to every centre back on the planet, so people put two and two together and think BOTH stories have legs to them when in fact they are just punts in the dark by journo's.

Eventually Stones will leave ofc and we will get a replacement in for him and one journalist will live off the rep of guessing right for a few years after looking like he is an ITK.

Same can be seen with any other position, Lukaku rumours wil start and same rags will start running stories about us being interested in xyz strikers.

As for centre backs though - we really do need another, when jags was injured and Stones went down the other game who the hell did we have that could come in for him if it would have been serious? - We are an experienced cb short for the squad right now mate

Jagielka, Mori, Stones, after that we are down to Galloway (never played cb at this level) and Browning (out for the season), we are really light at the position especially as both Jags and Stones tend to pick up a knock or two a season

Have a look at our goals conceeded and tell me again we don't need a defender.

If Martinez has eyes mate he will realise that we are 1 or 2 short at the back, Baines, Coleman and Jagielka and after that it's all kids with hardly any experience between them, Stones, Galloway, Browning, Pennington, Kenny, we need and should add another experienced quality centre half to the mix.

IF we sign someone then the quality of the player will be a huge indication of Stone's future - we went for someone like Dragovic for example then Stones is off sharpish, if we sign someone who is fine with a squad role then more an indication we will be holding onto him for a whilst
