He's scored 7 in 14 for PSV's reserve team.

I'm sure the lid just watches a lot of the Dutch 2nd division.

Yeah but the kid uses FIFA on the same metric, and as with any computer game, there may be a foundation of reality but there will always be limits to the accuracy of making any predictions off a computer game. I'm sure if you look at the number of wonder kids on FIFA or FM who have or haven't made it, there's as many misses as there are hits if not more.
FM might tell us where to look, but the scouts will have a look at how they play in real life and assess if they're really actually any good.

Anyone using FIFA or FM as a measuring stick for who we should or shouldn't sign needs to strip out of their stained tighty whities, step away from the computer and go have a shower.

To be fair FM is pretty well researched. Not to justify this weird brand of tittishness, like, but football is just unpredictable. Every top manager with a scouting network will have signed at least a few young players with high expectations, only for them to flop, so expecting a game to not make the same mistakes is harsh. Yaya Sanogo is a great, recent example of FM and a top manager getting it wrong!

Can't see this happen. Swedish national team playing with Mikael Lustig (Celtic) on RB and when he was out injured for a while there wasn't anyone good enough so they played a left back as right back. Don't know this Lorentzson but he sure isn't good enough.
