Look, will try and inject a bit of sense into this...
I work in a business that deals with embargoes all the time. I'll get information sometimes weeks in advance, with an announcement date and time.
That's where these 'sources' get their info from - advance warnings. So if they leak that info, that's the only info they know.
At any given time, that announcement can change. I've had announcements cancelled and rescheduled 60 seconds before they were meant to go public.
So that's why I've said on here that Esk has played a dangerous game by relying on timed info, instead of only revealing it when it is an hour or so away at best, so it was likely to actually be accurate.
I have no doubt we did or still indeed do hold big interest in both Witsel and Mata. But I also have no doubts that negotiations are exactly that - negotiations, and are prone to being fluid situations.
So my advice? Take ITK's with a pinch of salt, take them as a general interest of how the wind is blowing, and ignore any set timelines etc. as they're frequently changed or outright wrong.
