Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I'm still confident we'll get some quality signings in, I'd hope that the first of them will start to arrive this week (potentially Witsel).

It was always reported with Mata that he'd be off to China first, and though I think reports of him having agreed a deal or the clubs having agreed were premature, we do still stand a very good chance of signing him.

That's my take on it at the moment. In the meantime though there is no rush as the full squad is only back today (Lukaku may not even be back yet but the rest of the lads from the Euros will be) so Koeman will be able to fully assess the squad.

I'm sure he's got ideas already who he wants to bring in, but there is no rush at this stage...

Mane is a player who has five or six great games per-season mate, he's not a 'great player'.

A good player, yes, and one that would get into our team, but let's not over-egg his quality x
Onions innit...I would of taken him..thought he's a great little player personally.
£32,000,000 too rich for my blood mind. I guess my point was though that if you really want a player in asap you simply overpay and they arrive.

Mane is a great player though...Yes it's expensive by about...oh i dunno 10 million ? But you pay it if you want that player at that early part of the window.

...a great player, in THAT side maybe, and seemingly only when he's arsed. What's been paid for him is a LOT of dough for what he is. And, genuinely, I think we'll all be well aware of that by CHRISTMAS.

That said, great, they got some business done early doors. I'd be disappointed if we'd paid that for him. Couple of KOPITE mates are as they don't really see how he'll fit....he's a moody player, if it's not going his way he tends to shut down for huge periods and I can't see that going down well with KLOPP.

Thing is Toff, would you choose him ahead of Deulofeu for example, not so sure i would do...

As a complete aside...my kids are currently arguing about CHEERIOS v RICE KRISPIES, and the merits of both, that sort of jazz...

And it's just dawned that there's more reasoning, logic & construction here - between a 6 & 8 year old arguing about fuppin' cereal - than there is with some on GoT and their reasons as to why the season's a practical right-off already and the new regime is a load of old ball-bags.

Weird us blues are sometimes...;)

They are a beacon now and will accpet any tempermental player, the types who only show up so many games a season, because they are to a man 100% convinced in the cult of Klopp being able to get those players performing week in week out, also they are now telling themselves they dont need big signings as Klopp can turn 'rough gems' into diamonds on a shoestring mate. Never seen a managerial change have such a U-Turn effect on a fanbase and what they wanted before now (theyve been screaming for years about needing to sign players who wherre ready and at there peak now - Klopp arrives - 6 months later complete change in the way they think)

I do agree, My mane (see what I did there) point was that to get your preffered players in early doors you will pay a premium..I couldnt care less if he became terrific or flopped by Christmas, Everton fan ere...I'm not even sure what my point was now hahaha

Rice Krispies win by a snap, crackle and pop. Anyone who disagrees is filthy kopite.

100% agree, CHEERIOS are the devils work I feel, awful muck...yet I have to remain impartial else all manner of argument will ensue.
