Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Everton’s new boss Ronald Koeman has been assured of a hefty transfer kitty by majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and the Dutch manager has been on a mission carefully scouting his transfer targets as he aims to revamp his squad at Goodison Park. Koeman’s main aim will be to make the squad strong enough to have it realistically challenge for the European places rather than loiter in the lowly 11th place as they had been doing for the past two years. As the summer window is getting active, Everton’s list of targets are getting clearer and the names targeted by the club shows it’s ambition from the very outset.

When the club’s being linked with the likes of Juan Mata, Wijnaldum, Koulibaly and Axel Witsel then the fans can only get excited and hope that their manager does his job sensibly again as he had done with Southampton previously. The latest name being linked with a move to Everton is Milan Badelj. While Axel Witsel is a much fancy name to be considered it must be said that Badelj would be a much more realistic target.

One of the main problems of Everton under Martinez has been their defence and the increasing pressure on the 35-year-old Gareth Barry to shield their fragile backline was the main reason why the Toffees struggled to hold on to an advantage and threw away leads on a regular basis. A defensive midfield cover is an absolute must for Everton and Badelj can very well be that man.

Having previously shouldered the responsibility of fulfilling the void left by Luka Modric for Dinamo Zagreb, the Fiorentina midfielder is no stranger to shouldering responsibilities. Having showcased his talent for Zagreb, Hamburger SV, and Fiorentina, the Croatian is also very good in adapting to the style of the different leagues across Europe. The Midfielder’s performances for Hamburg was a testament that he can be the bright spot amongst several disappointing performers and rarely lets his shoulders drop.

In the Premier League, that particular trait can prove to be hugely significant during matches and it really makes Milan Badelj a perfect addition at Everton. Fiorentina is likely to demand a fee in the region of €10 mil which is an excellent asking price for the suitors considering the state of the present market but with A.C Milan being also interested there is a high chance of his price rising well above that valuation too. Everton thus needs to act quickly and get this one settled as early as possible for when analysed carefully Milan Badelj seems to be a far safer option to provide the value for money along with adding quality to the blue half of Merseyside.

Strootman Schneiderlin Witsel to Milan Badelj ffs come on now may as well sign Jelavic again too
He's playing in the Chinese First Division for Beijing Rehne. They're four points off a possible promotion place. Scored seven in seventeen games. Time for bed I think.

....however judging by one of the long time members post's he is seriously bothered at how many likes you have received!
Glad I'm not the only one to have noticed that. The "Likes" remark has come up more than once the last few days.

Someone has clearly had their nose put out of joint by the Esk's apparent popularity.

Anyone actually believe the esk?
The Esk posted that RK was the No. 1 target a couple of days before it appeared in the press. He also said we'd be getting a DOF way before anyone else. Both these are v unlikely to have been guesswork alone so I've no doubt he has access to info and is a genuine guy.
I've also no doubt some of his info has been off and he tends to overestimate the probability of good things happening as he has a positive disposition. Overall I appreciate his posts and take them as indicators not definitive facts.
