Appreciate any info you give esk...keep it up mate ;)
...strange how a few established members on here have had a go at you....the 25k kopite/Wum's i can understand!
...however for some of the long term members on here having a go at you after first hand witnessing your integrity over the years really puzzles me!....hopefully they're not jealous because you're getting more attention than they're getting!
....however judging by one of the long time members post's he is seriously bothered at how many likes you have received!
...oh well.... he's come across as a cockwomble latley anyway!
Keep up the good work mate ;)

So now I presume you will ask the esk to stop stamping his feet asking for proof too.

The thing is if people choose to believe what he says and it doesnt come true immediately, then ask him for proof, theyve sort of stamped their feet first. If he obviously cant disclose the source of info, but puts forward an argument for his assertions, why then cant he ask the feet stampers for their proof?
As for me, I'm excited by the names we are linked with. Dont believe we will get some of them (other clubs want them also), but think with a manager who will solve the defensive liabilities, we're already better than last season.
Add the players that we will get to the squad, that football people in general, believe were mismanaged, then its happier days. A lot happier than many on here would make out.

Erm, Because we aren't looking at spending large amounts of money

Love the logic that Koeman had to see the squad, Yes I am sure he needed to see Barry/Besic/McCarthy and Barkley before realising we need a CM

Yes, he quite obviously would want to see the squad considering he's the new manager you massive thunder nugget.

The position he has strengthened so far is goalkeeper, as we had one senior keeper on the books, so it was obvious

He obviously had two targets that he wanted to work towards in Witsel and Mata, but even so he will still be taking the time available to fully assess the squad and urgo, won't be rushing into any deals until he has done just that.

This week I'm hoping we get at least one player in. If not, I'll start getting a little anxious (for lack of a better word), but there's still plenty of time.

Anyone actually believe the esk?
I believe the Esk has an inside line & passes on what he can. Specifics would only mean the sources dry up & we then have to suffer through all the wannabe itk's that are looking for 5 minutes of anonymous fame.

As people like the Esk are not part of the process, then invariably there'll be hiccups along the way that no one is privy to, outside of the concerned parties. If anybody takes anyone else's word as Gospel, then the problem lies at their end.

We were ALL excited at the thought of new investment following years of stagnation.
So far we have dismissed an under performing manager and appointed a highly regarded replacement.
The delay in signing players to strengthen the squad, and hopefully the 1st team, has led to all kinds of speculation as to why that might be.
The eternal pessimists are fuming and believe 'nothing's changed' and 'Moshiri's a fraud' etc.
The over excitable believe that we are Chelsea/City type mega rich and they are fuming because they can't understand why we don't just throw money at Messi, Ronaldo etc.
The optimists (and I am one) believe that there is still time for this to be a great window.
All of these opinions are based on nothing but our own individual personality traits.

Chelsea are closing in on AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez to pave the way for Asmir Begovic to join Everton, according to a report.

The Bosnian keeper is keen to leave west London a year since his £8million move from Stoke after failing to dismount Thibaut Courtois from his number-one perch.

Italian publication Gazza Mercato claim that the deal was agreed in principle last week for Lopez to join Chelsea.

It is said Everton are keen on signing Begovic as Ronald Koeman prepares to sign a new goalkeeper.

With three years still left on his contract it’s likely that Everton will have to pay something similar to tempt Chelsea into accepting an offer.

The 34-year-old stopper joined Milan from Real Madrid two years ago, but played second-fiddle to 17-year-old wonderkid Gianluigi Donnarumma last season.

The Spanish international still has two years left on his San Siro contract, but a move to England seems inevitable.

This clears the way for Begovic to join The Toffees, with Chelsea seemingly resigning themselves to losing the Bosnian.

Begovic has largely been Courtois’ understudy during his time at Chelsea, although he had an extended run when the Belgian missed three months of 2015-16 with a knee injury.

The 29-year-old made 17 Premier League appearances this season, but only managed to keep a clean sheet four times in a faltering Chelsea side that finished in tenth position.
