Come on Mout. Yarmolenko is a good player. He's been good for them in the Champions league and consistently been good for them in the Europa League when they've been in it. Also, he's been fantastic for a very decent Ukraine side.

Still would have to prove himself in the Prem, but I reckon he's shown enough to suggest he would be a success.

Im just highlighting the record of players from that region in this league.

As ive said, it doesnt matter, we will not 1000% be signing the Ukraine McGeady, so its sound.

Fair enough. I do think it's harsh to right anyone off though before they've been given a chance.

Hmmm. Maybe not, but this rumour is one that refuses to go away. Probably nothing in it, but you never know.

Ive seen the lad play twice, he went AWOL at Goodison and ran the show in Kiev.

Im not writing him off, cos like 95% of people in this thread, ive never him play more than 3 games.

Why are you mentioning jarg players in jarg leagues? And wait a minute, why have you mentioned a load of Brazilians?

Every single Russian/Ukraine player has bombed when they came to England, the only success EVER has been Andrei Kanchelskis.

I look forward to your comeback post where you suggest that Pele did ok in the MLS.

Of course i think there has only been 5-6 Ukrainian players who have actually played over her mate, so great sample size there like - and probably about the same number of Russian players also if not less.

Guessing you are basing mainly on 4 players Rebrov, Pavlyuchenko, Shevchenko and Bilyaletdinov.

Also if your that perturbed by a response questioning what you've stated try to be a little clearer when saying things like 'The record of players from that region is disgustingly bad' - maybe by saying only including players born their who then played in Britain, not including any player who moved to another league from there that did well and not including any foreign player who made their name in those leagues before moving to a bigger league.

BTW, Besic is Bosnian - really speaking they are classified in the same category as Russia, Ukraine and other eastern European countries mate.

If I as going to do a comeback then I'd mention our success rate with Ukrainian players has been 100% though, try spin that one another way mate

His agent posted a picture of himself at Goodison in about October. I got excited in the summer though when it all fell apart so now it just feels like a wind up.

There is a reason for this seemingly odd question; anyone know if Kiev have signed any wingers recently? Last summer or now? Or are strongly linked with any?

Fair enough then. I think i've seen enough of him (7 or 8 games for Kyiv, plus a few for Ukraine) to make an opinion on him. But then again, that's just opinion.

If we got him, I believe he'd help us a lot and it'd be a real boost to the fans and players. If not, then there'll always be other targets.

It's a similar situation to that of Tadic. I'd seen enough of him to base an opinion on and I thought he'd be a really good player for us if we got him. He's impressed for Sotton but then again hasn't been as good in recent months.

If he signs it'll be nice. If not it's not the end of the world.
