Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Always a risk with any transfer. Not just foreign players either.
For every successful transfer there is an Alex Nyarko to us or Francis Jeffers to Arsenal.

He would be an exciting addition if he came, but no guarantee he would be successful.
Cuadrado at Chelsea a prime example. Martinez rated him as the best player at the World Cup but he just could not adapt to this country.

Bobby said that about Cuadrado to fool Jose into spun king £20M or so on a waster and taking the Special Ones eyes off the real star of the tournament....who we then bout for around €4M.....Besic they call him.

Diniyar may not have been an ideal for the Premiership signing, but there is absolutely no question he was totally wasted by Moyes.
Granted they were few and far between due to the way he was played and the lack of encouragement he was given, but checkout his goals v Manure, Pompey at GP and Wolves away and they showed he did have the tools.
I was in the Directors Box at Molyneux that day and nobody from Everton FC said too much positive about him... until he rifled in his goal and they all, and I mean all, directors and senior management put on a show of scenes that were amazing to see... BK and JW went mentalist.

Billy coming into this team with this manager would have been a hit....I have zero doubt about that.

It will always be a gamble though, you couldn't name one player rated at the 20mil bracket. Who you could guarantee success in the prem. Yes buy a world star who's 31 who's got 2yrs left at best, or a youngster who you know will be world class but may take 3 or 4 yrs IE lukaku.

Just look at the dross some of the top teams have bought over the last 5yrs. Lallana cost 25, markovic 20.

IMO we desperately need 3 players this summer, who are top class and are aged 25 to 27. And can walk straight into the team. We have an unbalanced squad to many youngsters and to many in the 30's.

Will we have the money though?

I dont watch enough football or play FM to reel out a load of names, but if I look at what 20m could buy us, Besic, Stones, Geri and Galloway combined comes to 15mish, so yeah.

no chance, not set the world alight since he moved on has he

No he hasn't....Everton drained the life out of him.
My point was if Bobby were manager when he joined, and with the squad we have now, he would have been perfect .....in MY OPINION.
