We can turn down a transfer request - as we did last summer.

I think you can do it once but doing it a second time could turn a bit toxic and I'm of a mind if you don't want to play for us get rid quick.

Rather have a team of Stuart Barlows wanting to play for us than someone only half interested.

I'm happy with the Bony link. The ball needs to start sticking up front in the big games where Lukaku is a non-factor.

It's obvious Walsh has had to talk about Koeman's needs. Koeman has played varied formations and it's evident that he wants to utilise a mixture of 3 centre halves and two up top - we need 1 prime defender and 1 prime striker.

Think Koeman may play Davies as Colemans deputy this season allowing us to improve other more important issues such as the spine.

Interesting that the midfield area is getting looked at if rumours are to be believed.

I know the team needs work, but the squad doesn't need to be that big given no European togger, think we will see more movement when they have settled on targets, be interesting to have a look at the players that we will have shortlisted.

Another thing I've been thinking given our lack of appeal to already big names in the game, could see us plump for young internationals amongst seasoned pros.

15m is a decent price for him, but I reckon others would come in and offer him 'Star status' in the team, but he's moved for completion before so anybodies guess.

agreed, but with pienaar, osman and hibbert already gone, niasse supposedly on the move, i'd think mccarthy would go if we bring in two centre mids. You then think possibly kone would be on the way out given he hasn't played, maybe barry? don't know. McGeady won't impress in pre-season so may be shafted somewhere.

We'll be shifting a fair few off there.

With regards to right back, i wouldn't be so sure on davies, i think he'll be one of the options. I'd like to see him loaned out, i don't think he'll get as much game time as we hoped, but kenny to me would be the natural successor to coleman, but he's off with england atm so hence hasn't been involved in pre-season with us. Holgate has played a lot of minutes as well and can play RB, so maybe he's preferred as well.

Yeah, i think there could be better teams who would want him, but who knows. I honestly think him and lukaku playing alongside eachother for some games would destroy a lot of teams in this league. Bony isn't just a goalscorer, he links up fantastically with other attackers, think he could lay off a lot of assists for lukaku. He's my no.1 preferred choice for who we bring in up front that's for sure.

Doubt we'd ever get a deal close to that when you consider Stones' current valuation and the fact that Citeh paid £25m for Bony.

Obviously would jump at the chance if Stones is to be sold, but I find it somewhat unlikely. £35m and Bony wouldn't be too shabby though!

Yeah agreed, I think we will pad out the squad with the young lads, hoping Davies is used in CM and that Kenny gets time at RB. Think GK, CM and ST are needed. Wanted a wide player too.

We could be set for a big flurry of ins and outs any day now, really hoping we get rid of the dead wood - with all the extra money, you'd imagine it will be easier to shift players on larger contracts.
