Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Been off my bonce since yesterday morning have I missed any developments/rumours?

We've bought every quality player you can think of and sold Niasse to Accrington Stanley for £145 Million !

So in other words - No - Nothing !

More chance of missing Gemma Collins at a wedding buffet than missing real Everton transfer progress.

Yeah agreed, I think we will pad out the squad with the young lads, hoping Davies is used in CM and that Kenny gets time at RB. Think GK, CM and ST are needed. Wanted a wide player too.

We could be set for a big flurry of ins and outs any day now, really hoping we get rid of the dead wood - with all the extra money, you'd imagine it will be easier to shift players on larger contracts.

to obide with FFP rules, to obide with bringing through home grown youngsters in their place to fill the quota, to fulfil squad numbers and all that as well. So many factors and benefits. May not be done all this summer, but january would be a good opportunity to do all that as well. Personally i think we need a playmaker as second priority behind the keeper. But being linked with witsel and carvalho makes me think how weak our centre mid sort of is. Especially if barry doesn't live up to last season.

Players I'm hoping we sell.

Oviedo, McGeady, Niasse, Kone, Cleverly, Barry, Gibson & Lennon.

Realise we won't - If we are to push on to the heights of CL none of these can be relied upon (perhaps Barry if used sparingly).

My hopes are all over the place ha, one part of me still thinks about net spend and the other half gets impatient wanting deals to happen. I just want us to be able to go on a run of games, where one player being injured doesn't put the kibosh on us. If we can bring in players better than we have I'll be even more hopeful going into the season.

Very calm and looking forward to the league commencing now.

Agreed fully with you about this being an exercise that could take time.

why lennon? all of these will be used sparingly, if at all. They won't have any major bearing on our season imo so i wouldn't get too torn up on those that stay. We won't be collecting much money for any of them that's for sure ha. Cleverley would be the only candidate to fetch around £7m-£8m.

Barry and Lennon can still be very useful players, you do need squad players too, even better if they're British to fill the homegrown quota.

I like Lennon, but he won't push us on to the next level. I would prefer a better player in time.

I think Lennon is worth keeping in the squad and for cup games also - whilst I agree he is not the most talented he always gives 100% and has the energy levels that mean he is wiling to put himself all over the pitch if required.

in time yeah, definitely, if he was good enough to take us where we want to be he'd still be at spurs doing just that for them. he's okay to play second fiddle to our other attackers atm.

Just hope we sign a few before we sell stones, getting sick of placky mancs & Koppites asking me " were is this new everton "

let them have their fun, the fall will be even better when they get their hopes up, just like our rise will feel better after a few extra weeks of wanting things to happen

Imagine the fume in here if we sold Stones and brought nobody in.

Moshiri makes his money back on the Koeman and Walsh compensation plus an extra £40 million for his troubles.
